I have the same problem, waiting for the update.

Accuracy of AP Dyno feature

Just wondering if anyone has used the digital dyno feature on the Access Port. If so how close was it to your real dyno #'s. I used it the other day on a "closed course" so it was complete safe. I dyno'd 341whp and 321wtq without a tune(mods in signature) and with the stage 2+ the Access port recorded 375whp and 409wtq. Again, this is just for Cobb users and people with Access port experience not trying to start a war here.

Thanks,
Jesse

Ok guys, little update on fuel... I went all over the place yesterday running errands.. A LOT of stop and go town driving, pulling in parking lots and running in and out, etc. I would say 65/35 highway/city, and around 75 miles total. Stage 1 still on car, average fuel ( from the computer ) 23.8 mpg, shifting at 2500 rpm and running 60 mph on the highway ( speed limit here is 55 ) I got on the car once REALLY hard, but other than that, it was easy driving.

After this tankful is out, I will flash to econ mode and reset the mileage and let you know the average.

Also did my first oil change yesterday at 1281 miles.

I'm guessing I'm the only one in the world that has tried this.

Thanks anyway,
Jesse

It looks like it was pretty close to your mustang dyno numbers. what do you have to do to run the test? input weight, tires size and do some accel tests?

I believe it is ok, judging from this guys thread: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-my-setup.html. I asked a similar question as yours but didnt get a response but checked out his mods (cbe + tp + plus other mods) and he is running cobb stg2 without problems so I might give it a stab.

Note: I ordered HKS's DP but haven't got it yet cause I thought you would need a tbe.

well then you are not letting the rpm's fall a little... my shifter was and is perfectly smooth in my car and I can shift at any rpm's and it is smooth, you just have to know how to do it. Also, if you are shifting at 3500, that's burning up that much more gas then you have to, and I am trying to be as consistant as I can be with the rpms so that it's not just guesswork.

The whole purpose for the gas info on the AP and the car itself is to show what you CAN get with it if you drive in a manner that saves gas, it would be stupid to say " oh man I only average 18 mpg " if i'm shifting at 5 or 6 grand everytime, it discourages people away from the car and that you can see decent numbers with it. We all know that it's fast, that's been proven time and again and with the AP even more so, now I want to see what we can squeeze out of the car when it comes to the gas numbers.

If so im doing 0-60 in 4.2(which when counting and timing multiple times seems to be dead on) my car is a completely different beast with the accessPort. Thanks COBB!
Did Cobb do a custom tune on the car or are you using a shelf map? I'm curious as to why the MRs don't gain as much HP from a tune compared to a GSR. Some say drive train loss but these cars are not full automatics that have torque converters. It has an actual clutch. Normally a GSR with just a drop in panel filter will gain 60-70HP from a tune and depending on the dyno should dyno around 320 HP to the wheels.

i thought about it several times but yesterday i had a IX on my bumper. good thing i wasn't using the econo mode.

edit: after reading the thread about the blue evo that was obliterated and the driver killed (not that i drive like that), i am now inspired to try the econo map. expect results around 5pm today.
