^Mine is a straight up USB cable that plugs into the AP and into the Cobb OBDII connector. My USB cable has a swivel tip.

This is what my AP looks like:

I'm guessing the ones with white plugs are first gen EVO X AP units. Can it be sent it for upgrade?
