AccessPORT Stage 1?

Hey Folks,

So I’ve been thinking about getting the Accessport for my 15 Final Edition. But I’m a little weary after reading some forums. Some are great! Some are skeptic. So I figured maybe I could get some experiences in this? And hopefully help another owner in the future wondering the same as me!

So yes I know, PRO TUNE is best option and that’s what I’m going to get to. But not for another year or so. But I wanted to know if anyone has run the stage 1 map for a long period? If so, were there any issues? And do you guys think I’ll be fine if I ran the stage 1 map for a year or so until I can pro tune?

I have a V3 for my Mazdaspeed, and I ran the stage 1 map for 3 years on that issue FREE. (I know it’s a different platform but I’m sharing my experience with Cobb that I have)

I hope I can find some guys that have answers. And I hope I haven’t started another annoying thread lmao!!

thanks guys!

Xerx

Running a Stage 2+SF without any issues.
Going to go Pro Tune next instead of stage 3 as the parts needed require a protune.

I've been running a stage 1 tune on my '14 GSR for a couple years now.. Probably have about 30k miles with road racing involved. I've had zero issues. I plan on going to a flex fuel setup this year so I'll be going open source.

I have an access port v3 with an intake and uicp using 94 octane on a 93octane stage 1 tune with the ets intake calibration setup for about 3 years. No issues at all. Some detonation here and there but I think that's pretty much normal, even from a stock ecu.

have you guys ever overboosted much? Its been great so far but I’m getting like the occasional 26-27psi? It’s not for long, it just taps it and goes back down.

Had an AccessPort v2. Ran Stage 2 for many years until I sold the car without any issues. Had UICP, intake, and exhaust.

Did you contact Cobb? Do a 2-4 pull from 3000-7200 rpm and send them the log. In Sept, that's a bit high. In January @ - 35C out...that's quite normal.

Flashing to the LWG Stage 1 is what I had to do in the cold weather to keep it under 30.

I just did a pull last week, 27.2 lbs @ 800ft above sea level (I'm at Lake Simcoe), 2014 MR

Other than my blown front strut, she's running like a champ.

Peace
Rev
