Ran the IX at Gainesville Raceway Saturday night
only got 1 run in in 5 hours due to the summit race guys constantly smashing into walls. Was about to get my second run when an enormous thunderstorm decides to open up right over the racetrack. I wasn't too disappointed given it was my frist time at the track ever but i was disappointed that i couldn't get a 2nd run in to try to correct my mistakes from the first run.
Mods: Buschur Stage 1
Weather: not sure of temperature but probably 85 or so with like 85% humidity, absolutely disgusting.
R/T: .530
60': 1.923
330: 5.427
1/8: 8.360 @ 83.00
1000: 10.911
1/4: 13.023 @ 107.97
I think I shifted a little too soon plus I probably took too long on my shifts. Hopefully next time i do a lot better.
Edit: And of course I need to fix that atrocious 60'

Definitely need practice on the launch, as do I haha. The weather definitely was not helping either. I ran my car in almost 110 degrees and it was an absolute disaster. No idea it was going to be that hot lol. It really was disgusting. Might as well have turned the car off half way down the 1320 because that's how it felt.
I'm sure you would have done better on the next runs if you were actually given a chance. I just have 2 questions.
What kinda gas were you running and also how's the elevation ft wise @ the track? It's not @ sea level is it ?

It's in Florida, so yes it's at sea level. Probably plain 93oct.
Mcwop, the 108mph trap on your first try with a weak launch and slow shifting means that you are capable of at least mid-12s once you get more than ONE run. You should be excited, because you have a LOT to look forward to...
One run sucks - hopefully you can go during a test'n'tune and get 5-6 runs.

.530 R/T for your very first time at a drag strip is hilarious.. for some reason that happens a lot. my very first ever time down a drag strip i cut like a .504. then once i understood how the lights worked i never came close to that again

Well not too bad for your very first time. You definitely need to perfect that lauch. Make sure you slip the clutch instead of dropping it. Also it is crucial to shift fast. That is precious time right there.
However, I am sure if you run during a cool period most likely winter cause during summer florida is too damn hot and humid then you will already do much better. The humidity down there is horrible and that kills et.
