Quick. Someone call the "wambulance." A specatator didn't have a good time. There is only one original shootout and for good reason. Don't attend next year, save your complaints but a hundred new enthusiasts will show up, have a good time and take your place.

Awesome event i left with 5 other people saturday at 11;30 pm to get there sunday for this event.... we got there sunday at 6 am and took a little nap maybe an hour so so until the cars started rolling up.... we left around 5pm sunday, the event was almost over but we had to leave b/c of a 6+ hour drive back home to baltimore,MD. But it was amazing besides the down time between spills etc, but you have to expect that at a drag event let alone DSM event lol, but other then that and the sun it was a GREAT TIME!!! I bought 2 buschur racing shirts. I think i had 2 hours of sleep within 40 hours.... but i was still kicking surprisingly. But again it was great to see all the REAL cars in person and to meet DB! Thanks for an amazing event and im sure ill be back next year!!!

It was an AWESOME event.

I was very fortunate and lucky to win 2nd place in the EVO Stock Appearing Turbo class. I have to give props to my Buddy Justin "aka Boltz on the forum here." He's put so much work on my car I decided to reward him by competing in the event with me.

I also want to give a great big Thanks to David Buschur. He supported my T-Shirt business lending me a Table at the Shop and Also at the Drag Strip. I was able to promote my shirts and sell over 160 Shirts. I had a very good time and won't miss Next Year's shootout for anything.. It is truly the highlight of my summer.

It was great meeting you all there.. Thanks again fellas.

Thanks guys for all the great comments. I TRULY appreciate you all coming and making the event what it is, without good people coming to see old friends and make new friends each year there would be no shootout.

I promise you, we have some plans for next year that should make it all even better. The event wasn't over yet and my wheels were spinning in my head for the 18th Annual in 2010!

Keep the comments coming, please. I love hearing about so many people having a great time.

This was the first year since we've owned the shop that I didn't just work the dyno the entire time. Trent, Ted, Nick and Chris, thanks for working back there so I could get out and meet some people. My stress level was very low for the entire weekend because of the great guys that work for me and it was nice to say hi to a lot of people and welcome them to the event.

We don't strive for it, its physics of weight transfer :P.

Understand that it is the physics of weight transfer, but I thought that was what an aftermarket suspension was for? I am by far an expert when it comes to this, am in the learning process, but with that said it seems to me that with an AWD car you would want to "play" with the spring rates and compression/rebound characteristics until you got to a point to where there was very little (if any) squat in the rear end and little (to no) nosing down in the front. That should allow for the most contact patch on all four corners. I could be way off here.

Nice vid! Trent came out of the hole like a mad man and Mike's higher powered, lighter Evo almost ran him down! Nice showing!

Kevin was driving BadBish not Trent.

What a great event even considering how my day went on Sunday. I can't wait till next year.

Thank you so very much for hosting such a great event!
