Sexy pic!!! That burnt mark is such a nice touch...

Also, sits nice man, the wheels came out good...

As for the ignition issue. Thats boggling. You changed the plugs, ignition, and lowered boost to still have problems. Interesting. Can you post up whatever it is that solves the problem, would like to know for knowledge sake.

Hey Dan that sux about the mis-fire issues!

I must say that the car is looking DAMN GOOD though

I like the hood, trunk, and wheels together very nice man.

If you haven't already it may be a good idea to take a look at the cam angle sensor (exh) as i have seen similar issues and have pulled my hair out trying to figure out if it was an ignition related part when it ended up being that.

Are you on the stock ecu?

thanks Pat.

the cam sensor seems to ''appear'' fine. plugged in and not damaged. i can inspect it closer if need be.

yes the car is still on stock ECU. but is mated to the HKS Fcon. sean has given me a few things to check out and go over. once i do this i will report back. i will add the cam sensor to the mix.

Sounds good Dan i know you're in the right hands to figure the issue out but thought i'd add my .02 cents and fwiw the sensors that had been deemed faulty still appeared by visual inspection to be "ok" but when swapped out did the trick....maybe from radiant heat damage

GL finding the culprit that 9sec slip is waiting for ya

Sorry to hear about the Misfiring issue dan. I had the same issue with mine. Through the stock coils on it and they were fine for a week or so. Car started to break up with the stock coils so i knew it was no go for them anymore. Lucky enough i borrowed Devins spark tech untill my sequential gets here and car did not break up. GL bud and im sure its something small you will get figured out. BTW the car look sick with the BBS/Hoosiers!! Makes me miss my LY EVO!

I'd hate for you to go and throw cash at random parts Dan do you have any buds with Evos so you can just do a quick swap (it's only 1-10mm bolt )?

I guess if not it's not a bad part to have a spare laying around

Pat.

i took the cam sensor off. it was covered in oil. so i cleaned it off. censor looks good. ''but like u said that dont mean a thing''

so i took the little cover off and there was quite a bit of oil in there. so i took the ring thingy that the sensor reads and i cleaned everything up. nice and dry now.

i will take the car out for a ride in a little bit. in the mean time. could a lot of oil disrupt the sensor and readings or no.

No not really Dan having oil on the sensor is the norm.

Doesn't hurt to clean it off but it's really not needed.

I dont' want to steer you in the wrong direction and as i'm sure you know it's difficult to diagnose via the internet w/o the car in front of you

That's why i asked if you had someone near by that you could just swap for a few mins to test if not don't spend too much time on the sensor i'd just get with your tuner to see if everything checks out and go from there

GL dude!

HAHAHA. well all i did was clean off the sensor and i cleaned out that hole. 25psi. car pulls clean to 8k. 30psi. clean. i said F this. go for the gold. 44psi. ''oops'' turned it up to much. backed it down. 40psi. clean 8k HIT 4TH. clean 8500rpm.

soooooooooooo im kinda confused. is it fixed? do i put the spark tech on or leave it alone.

only issue now is i do not spin the tires in 2nd gear nike my nittos did. these hoosier tires GRIP. so that only means i need more power.
