only issue now is i do not spin the tires in 2nd gear nike my nittos did. these hoosier tires GRIP. so that only means i need more power.

Dan, it could also be the CAS harness itself, I know atleast with my car and a couple of other evos that I have worked on if you wiggle the wires going into the CAS it makes the problem go away. My car if I'm cruising on the freeway in hot weather for long period of time, the CAS will start to drop signal making the car jerk and cut out every now and then.
When it does this I have to pull over and wiggle the wires around then it goes away..

I have taken the harness apart 3 times and have yet to fix the problem, but I find it odd how I can wiggle the wires leading into the CAS and make the problem go away..

The harness that plugs right into the CAS. The wires coming out of that plug, I wiggle mine and the problem goes away.

i know that. but when you unplug it from the sensor how can i remove the harness ''just the few wires for that sensor'' is there another plug else where or is it linked into the stock engine bay harness.

Oh i see what your asking. I just de pinned the wires with the harness still in the car (battery disconnected of course) Then I had some extra pins laying around and re pinned the harness. It didn't fix the problem so I have no clue what causes it, all I know is wiggling those wires clears the problem up for me.

i put the c.o.p. on. took it out. broke up. so now i just put the stock back on again and i am going to go test it. this is driving me up the freaking wall. waiting for a cam sensor to show up. it may not be the problem. but i want it replaced anyways now.

Dan glad you are at least on the right track to figuring the issue out!

Sorry if you mentioned it in a prior post but what COP are you running?

I recently saw first hand a SpoolinUp COP (non-cdi) that had some wiring issues on a customer's Evo when we tried to fire it up after the motor puked a rod and was replaced.

Ran like it was on 3 cylinders and since i had my SparkTech COP nearby i offered to throw it on to see if it helped and BAM no issues at all!

I try not to bad-mouth any company out there regardless of if they are a vendor here or not but i'm not too impressed with the quality of those kits
