Well I went to Rockingham for my first 1/4 venture and came back with pretty decent results. With nothing more than Buschur Stage One and 20 psi, I netted a best of a 12.76@110.25. What was suprising was I had been getting 1.81-1.84 60's all night long, then on this pass I got a 1.88 60', and slower than normal 1/8 mi trap, yet still ran a 12.76@110. I think I can muster a 12.6x out of it next time.

BTW, I still have the stock clutch and 3600 miles on the car with no less than 25 drag strip launches.

what kind of launch are you doing?

I have the same set up, and I'm heading to the track this wednesday... my first attempt I just couldn't cut anything faster than a 2.0 60ft....

 

Around 6000rpm and slipping it. Ive pulled a best of 1.79 on stock clutch w/ Stage 1, and 1.81 on stock clutch with no mods.

u should be able to do a 12.5 actually.. that trap is very nice!

just get a 1.7x and you'll be there!.. .1 off 60ft is appx .3 off the ET..

Or shifting at more optimal rpms could also help with trap speed.

 

what rpms would those be?

 

Are you running pump gas 91-94 oct. on those runs or race gas?
What are you boosting?

What kind of weather were you running in? Those trap speeds are fantastic!

 

that's impresive, where in NC are you located. you know there's also a brand new strip in fayetville. It might be closer if you're in the raleigh area

 

why will trap speed drop if he gets a better 60 ft?
