A custom tune would definitely be worth it unless you're adding cams in the near future.

Remember, if you get a custom tune now, then all future mail-in flashes are free, and any subsequent custom tunes are only $300. If you just get a mail-in flash now, your car will run better than it is now, subsequent mail-in flashes are only $100, and any future custom tunes are also $300. Up to you, but I think it depends on how long it will be before your next mods...

^^^ Yeah well I think I mentioned to you on other threads that I have big plans but now it looks like my money is going to go to more home related stuff so I will have to skip the porting and coating for now. I think with just a TBE, guages, fuel pump, intake, MBC set to 21 psi, and a mail in flash for 93 octane the car should run pretty good. Comments on that? I really want a custom tune but would rather wait to drop the money when I have more mods. I didn't know about all of those discounts listed either. That makes me feel a lot better about the mail-in knowing I only have to spend $300 when I do the custom tune. Thanks!

And as for how long till the next mods, it's only April so I might have a lot more done by the end of summer so I think the mail in will do for now.

Oh yeah, I have a new single flapper 10.5 hotside sitting here beside me too. A mail-in can correct for that mod too right? I assume.

my flash

well, i finally completed putting my car back together. today, i put the walboro in with the buschur air filter kit. i also changed the spark plugs to bpr7es, compression test, and pressure test. changing the spark plugs and adding on the filter was no problem. the walboro really wasn't that hard. i utilized evomoto.com's tech section which was perfect. i did just as described. the hardest part was actually getting the return hose off. after i finished everything, i started her up with 2 cranks. all i can say is on my goodness! the car is extremely smooth while furocious at the same time. i had the opportunity to get a buschur air filter kit for $20. i thought, alot of people make 400hp with factory intake but for $20 i can't pass it up. not having intentions for it, but man does it sound sick as the turbo spools and al i can hear my jdm mr bov much better! just kidding. al, you tuned it awesome. the car pulls like a crazy man all the way to redline at the same time just making it more enjoyable to drive. it seems to idle smoother, no more hesitation, boost comes on super fast. al, you made this a pleasant experience from getting my ecu back as described and providing a flash that exceded my expectations. i do, however, have one complaint that you really need to consider. i think you ought to drop that price back down to $199 because now i cannot keep my foot off the gas! if anyone is considering this, just do it. i am making a 2 hour trip to columbus so i am anxious to see if i can keep off it and see if my mileage went up as some have described seeing it is ~$3.00 a gallon around here. massive thumbs up to al, thank you for providing this service to more than what we expect from our cars. now, i just need to convince the wife that headers, 10.5 housing, and cams give me better gas mileage!

by the way, i gained at least 50mpg, possibly more. i have usually never go beyond 270 and degfinately not 300. i had a tad under 1/4 left and had to fill up (gas sale) and i had 330 on the meter so i could have have more. mind you, i just had a buschur intake, walboro, and dynoflash intstalled so it is not like i was granny driving.

I'm another satisfied Dynoflash Mail-In customer. Very pleased. Just amazed how much better the car performs with modest mods and a flash.

Al was a easy going funny guy, Very pleased with my dynoflash just wish i could have got on the dyno and had a custom tune by him. Next time he is in town i will have all my mods including cams and alky and will make some serious power, but for now for 175 you cant go wrong , car is smooth , pulls strong , boost spools ALOT quicker and the rev control on my 05 is sick
