Official "I got DynoFlashed!" Thread
i received my flash last thursday , i popped the ecu in and took her for a spin.. it was about 92 degrees and REALLY humid.. so i let her rip and i did notice a decent pull all the way through the rpm band.
i didnt feel its full potential until yesterday... it was about 55 degrees and man it pulls a lot better in cooler weather.. all in all it was definatly worth 200 dollars no doubt..
btw my car is all stock except for the flash
i highly recommend this product

Got my ECU back today and I took her for a run....and WOW the car pulls noticeably harder throughout the RPM range, no hesitations, no nothing....just a smooth pull. 1st gear only lasts but a blink of an eye then you gotta shift! Awesome job Al! definately worth the wait! (sorry bout buggin' ya) Anyone hesitating to do this....do it now!
mods: injen intake/ uicp, RnR 3" TB, walbro 255, evo IX bov, hallman mbc @21 psi

I'm going to be sending my ECU out to Al probably on wednesday to get my mail-in flash. Hey Al Do you have a nice map for my mods (in sig) on 93 and what type of hp number do you SUSPECT I might be around after the flash (just your opinion)
Also if I send the ECU out wednesday should I have it back Friday/Saturday? Just wondering how busy you are this upcoming week...

Take a look at this page it says at your trap speed you're making over 350HP.

on pump gas @ 22psi
best et = 12.6
best trap = 109
best 60' = 1.88 - still need to practice lol
1/8 = 8.1 - 8.2 @ 85-86mph
it was pretty humid that day @ etown
The problem is that the IX's drop down in boost in the high rpms at the track you are mostly in the 6 - 7500 rpms range and your boost is prob lower than the 22 peak
What I would suggest is going to an isoltaed area and trying to check and set the boost in a true drag racing situation with shifting at 7500 and see what kind of MBC setting you need to achieve a solid 20 psi in the high rpms zone
At the track I would suggest a few gallons of race gas and just turn the boost up higher
Remember, when you are on the dyno the car is pushing up against a steady load and we begin the pulls at 3,000 which allows the boost to build up really high
I have at least 10 IX customers in the 11.56 to 12.1 range with similar mods as you with the same power level
Lastly - an APexi AVCR is a good option on IX's as we can talior the boost solinoid duty cycle to the rpms to even out the boost up top
IX's just dont hold as much boost yup top as 8's due to the MIVEC

Al,
I am interested in your dynoflash, I am curious if there are certain mods I need before I get it done. Curently, I have a BR 2.5" downpipe, perrin cat delete, espelir 3" catback, and I am looking into a MBC.
Thanks,
Jeff L

Al,
I'm looking to get a hold of a custom flash you did for my car's previous owner. Give me a pm when you get a chance please so I can give you all the details. Appreciate it.
