7800 even with a new valvetrain? As far as the idle, as long as it doesnt die out or stall, ill be OK. 264s might be too tame, and I have considered 264in/272ex combo. Man its so hard to choose anything!?!

A company is offering a stronger vavletrain, but if you keep the stock rods and stay under 8000RPMs, whats the point? I guess theyll offer pistons and rods soon.

Thanks for the help again Al.

Floating valves risk piston to valve inpact and they cause loss of power at high rpms - so a valve train upgrade (epspecially larger and lighter valves) will help you make more power at high rpms safely

However, the rods and pistons take the brunt of the tremendous stress that higher rpms create at TDC and BDC - - the faster you spin the more forces literally pulling your motor apart

After seeing a few stock rods and pistons come out of evos - I would not rev them beyond 7800 - I am no engineer though

Hi Al, I just read that article in the SCC magazine and they seemed to get some power (although they lost torque...) from using cam gears and retarding the cam timing 5°... I know it took Shiv 298 dyno pulls to tune that car, but maybe you have some maps that take the cam timing mods into account.... Can you upgrade the dynoflash for that?

Thanks,

Manuel

I am still working on my 289 pull dyno queen special reflash - only joking !

I say screw cam gears - - just get the 264 HKS cams and I have a reflash to work with those - that way you get massive gains all across the power band

Hey Al,

How much is the reflash after Dec. 25th and how do I go about ordering it from your website? I looked at your website and I didnt see the option for the mail in reflash.

I am very impressed by all the compliments this mod gets and Im looking forward to getting it done once I get a couple other mods to compliment the reflash. Do you have a reflash for the mods below?

UR turbo back
HKS RS intake

Thanks
Matt

What manual boost controller, if any, do you suggest I should get, if I'm completely stock right now and want to do your dynoflash in person?
