More former Z owners!

I miss my Z32 TT. That was one of my favorite cars of all times. A heavy machine (not 3000GT heavy), but how I miss the torque and power of that car. I never got the JWT ECU, but I had the JWT intake and Stillen exhaust on it.

I installed my DynoFlashed ECU 3 days ago and all I can say is… WOW!!!!

Unfortunately, it's been cold with lots of snow here for the last few days (which is very unusual for the Pacific NW), so I have not had a chance to really put the car through the paces yet. However, just from the driving I have done, I can already tell there is definite improvement. Thanks Al, I’m glad I did this.

I am curios… is there anyone out there with the same or very similar mods to mine that actually knows what kind of HP they are putting down to the wheels and/or crank? If not, any educated (ballpark) guesses on what I putting down?

Here’s a list of my mods that would matter:
Perrin cat-delete pipe & cat-back exhaust system.
HKS SSQV BOV
Turbonetics MBC running 20psi
DynoFlash (Mail in tune for 92 Octane)

TIA,
Jason

I did a mail-in; with a K&N drop-in and Borla exhaust I have approximately 265 whp on 93 octane.

Hey Al, I sure hope you can make it back. My car should be running as well as it can with the better fuel I'm using now (only Amoco Supreme). Anyway, please let me know as your visit comes closer so I can get whatever mods I want done to the car before you show up!

Cool! That's 8 miles from home. I have an event April 17 and 18, it would be nice to get a custom re-dynoflash before then. At any rate, I hope to meet you. Good luck!

jansolo: if you never got the JWT ECU, you have no idea how much you were missing! It positively transformed the car.

Every month or so, I tell myself that I might as well sell my Z32, since I almost never drive it anymore now that I have the EVO. Then I'll take it to work for a day and realize that I can't imagine living without it. The power is just plain silly. I've never found a car on a deserted expressway that could run with it. I remember a night this past summer when I was on my way home from the track. I was about midnight, and I was loaded to the gills with FOUR wheels/tires (Victoracers), all my tools/jackstands/supplies, etc. Some guy in a WS6 came up next to me and wanted to run. I killed him without even downshifting out of 5th. Man.. I love that car.

Sorry for the off-topic posting. I just miss my Z since it's been in winter storage.

I know I'm going ot, but, I miss mine too. I sold my Z last summer. I wept like Ben Stiller in There's something About Mary when the buyer drove off in it. I think the Z32TT is one of the finest GTs ever manufactured. Awesome engine, enduring good looks, near-perfect driver's position, locked-down on center feel, etc... Other than it's continuously fouled-up injectors, it was near perfect. Unfortunately it's near useless in midwestern winters, that's where the Evo comes in. Apparently we know righteous sports cars, therefore, the Evo must be a worthy substitute

That was going to be my next upgrade - new JWT reflash. Problem was that my Z was getting really old and it was in the shop once a month getting repaired. Once it hit 100k miles, it just started going downhill.

I've considered buying a used one to make it my project car, but certain factors (let's just call them wife factors) are preventing me.

Gotta win the lotto, gotta win the lotto.

That would be great. I know there are a lot of other guys wanting to get theirs done as well. But if not I'll just do a mail in.

Is that estimate at the crank or at the wheels?

TIA,
Jason
