Question: If I upgrade my fuel injectors because remember we maxed out the stock ones with the 20-19 lbs of boost I'm running, can I turn up the boost with the current program you have in there?
Give me a call - lets talk about doing another tuning day down there - then i can resolve your problems. You dont need injectors - just the pruven adjustable fuel pressure regulator kit. Call me 203 - 515-4110

I sent my ECU off to Al on Monday, he got it Tuesday, and I had it back before 10:30 on Wednesday. How's that for service? Al also phoned me on Tuesday and talked to me about the tune and sent me a tracking number before the day was over. I haven't really got a chance to play with her until today, after I installed the boost controller . To be honest, I can't think of another purchase I have made, ever, that offered this much value for the money. The car pulls like a raped ape all the way to redline. The free Buschur filter is nice too, and it's loud as fark . So, add one more extremely happy customer to the list. Thanks again Al!

Alrighty, back from the track . Last time out there was December 5th and it was outstanding weather for drag racing, which means cold air and low humidity. However, the track was cold, due to the weather, and wasn't hooking. My best time was 13.587 @ 99.93 MPH on a 2.052 60'. Since then I have added an MBC (set to 20 PSI), Dynoflash, and Buschur air filter. Today it was warmer than last time with slightly higher humidity. I got to the track (hour drive), filled out my tech card, and ran with no cool down to the tune of 13.315 @ 99.76 on a 1.895 60'. I was shifting at stock RPMs for some odd reason on that run. Let the car cool down for an hour and hit the track again with a 13.150 @101.10 on a 1.852 60'. On that run I shifted to 4th at just under 7K (don't ask me why, I dunno) and the car stumbled a bit going into 4th. So, I dropped 4/10 of a second and gained 1 MPH on a day with worse weather conditions. I know some of the drop is attributal to the improved 60' but it only improved by just over a tenth and that does not add up to 4/10 in the 1/4. Shifting to 4th at the correct RPM would have given me probably another tenth and 102 MPH. Again, I must state that the weather conditions were far better when I ran the 13.5. Anyway, the cars runs ****loads better now, that's all there is to it.

[quote] I recently purchased the Dyno flash via the mail and I wanted to say that it is fantastic.

With all the crazy trash talk on this forum, I wanted to share my experience. Al is a great guy. He spent an hour on the phone with me answering my questions. With Dyno flash, the car feels much smoother throughout the power band and feels much stronger.

Prior to the Dyno flash I had the Buschur Racing SAFC settings, which made a great improvement over stock. The difference between the SAFC and the Dynoflash is very noticeable. I imagine the full dyno tuned product is much better, the mail version was a great place to start..

The service was fantastic; I have never received such good service from a vendor. I plan to head up and get the full dyno tune with cams in the next few months. Highly recommended.

Thanks !

I am considering the DynoFlash but I have one question: We have OBDII emissions testing (air TAX) here in Texas. Will the DynoFlash affect my ability to pass the test? There is no dyno exhaust sniffing, just the OBDII port test. Anybody passed in Texas with the flash?

I would think that with better tuning, leaner mixtures, you would pass emissions even better. You wouldn't have all that wasted gas exhausting out.

Yup, that's my take on it too and I beleive Al has stated the same. I guess theoretically, the cats could burn out quicker since the slightly leaner air fuel mixture would yield more heat (the leading theory on why the RX8 runs so rich), which would violate the 120,000 mile or so longevity rule the EPA has for new cars. However, that just seems like a silly rule to me since mandatory cat replacements at a certain mileage seem more fair.

Well this doesn't count as a full report yet since I need to install my 3" exhaust, but I got my ECU and intake today. The car is running well and pulls like hell with MBC peaking at 19 psi. I'll wait for the exhaust then try setting the MBC to hold at 19 (probably with a 20-21 peak). Hard to compare with stock since I've been driving the mini-van for about a week -- but I think the evo can beat it.

Al's service is top-notch. He even called me when he noticed Fed Ex was slow on delivery. His price, product and service are a hard combo to beat. Especially his January special if you're in need of an intake.

In Texas we don't have exhaust gas "sniffer" for emissions testing. They just plug into the OBDII diagnostic port. I am wondering if the DynoFlash will effect this test in any way?

NO - OBDII is not effected in any manner - no issues what so ever - thanks
