I got my money back, sort of.

I had my evo custom tuned several months ago when Al came to Dallas. The power felt very good, but my comparison of before and after can't be too accurate because as it turned out the shop I was using installed my hallman backwards.

Some words of advice, If you have your car tuned by Al make sure it's working 100%, because otherwise he will treat you very poorly. I can understand his frustration, but he really made me feel about 2in tall.

The reason I wanted my money back was two-fold.
1. He spent 30min on my car total tuning it when I paid $450 for 2hrs
2. When on the dyno a week later my a/f ratio was a steady 10.5 which seemed way too conservative

I sent him my ecu with a note explaining my problem(didn't want to call in a effort to avoid more rudeness) asking for my money back. I over-nighted the day before the two-week period was expired, and when I did finally talk with him on the phone he refused to refund my money. So I did something I am not proud of, begged.

I don't have alot of money and that was my only choice. He finally conceded to give me half of my money back and let me keep the flash. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Now I'm running a Utec on top of the flash, and I'm pleased with the results. As soon as the new Utec firmware becomes avaliable I'll ditch the flash and run only the utec.
Honestly I don't know what to make of Al and his flashes. I've seen so many people happy with them, I just wish he would have spent a little more time on my car so I could have been one of them.

"The bottom line is that IF you were a real man you would have introduced yourself to me and riased your comments about my tuning methods to me directly so we could have discussed your concerns directly"

-why? So others could not see what really goes on? So you could once again hide behind the forums with your "dyno sheets"

Everything else you say is designed to push people or to scare people into your way of thinking.

"The more you talk - the more the inteligent people reading this diatribe can see through you envy and anger you have. The inadequacey you feel and insecurity you harbor nescessitaes that you try to attack others will your false sense of superiority"

Do you really think people are going to keep falling for this, and "see through it"? These types of post are now becoming far to common. I've talked with local people and they say the same thing about you and how rude you are.

Why dont you just pack up and leave the unknowning EVO owners alone.

Thanks about the sig man. Truth hurts. If Al has something to say about Turbotrix lets see if he is a man and say it here or is he afraid ?. Also Pitbul was referenced what exactly was said about him Al ?.

You just admitted that your car was not mechanically sound at the time of tuning, and that you waited more than two weeks before seaking a refund, and you're pissed because you only got back half your money?

Pointless.

So when you do your road tuning/test runs on the street, this is not endangering the lives of other people? On my test run, we reached speeds of at least 90-100mph on 35-45mph city streets. I'm sure more people can attest to the same experience.

I think this 12 page thread does not consist of more than 5-10 stupid posts.

It took all of 20min for Evo8.com to fix it which I gladly paid them for, and at the time I sent him the ecu there was no indication on his website of any timeframe involved. I just happed to send it back the day before the two weeks expired.

Don't know how to feel about this whole topic. I run a very high traffic web site with a messageboard and know first hand how it feels to become the center of negativity. When you try to defend yourself you end up digging yourself a larger hole. Then people use what you said in frustration, against you. I ordered all of my parts and should have them by tomorrow. Since I will be short on time to install myself I was looking for and installer and tuner to do this one shot. Now I am torn between where I should take my car for installation and ecu tuning. I am in North Jersey and can get to Turbotrix or Pruven/Dynoflash in a similar amount of time only I am having a hard time making a decision. But onside of that, we all like to say that "its only a messageboard" but it is now completely obvious to me that it effects business 100 percent. I posted last night saying that I would call Al to schedule a tune but I have not made that call yet. I think I am going to wait it out a little. I would just like to ask everyone out there that is willing to sacrafice the time that has had work done by Al or Turbotrix to PM me their honest experience and satisfaction or lack thereof. As far as Al from Dynoflash goes, I feel bad that posts like this really can harm your business, that is why I am requesting PMs from members, no matter what the case is here I feel that you where attacked in a unfair manner and I think that this persons complaint should of been PM'd to you first and if the response was wrong their then they should have taken it public. Anyways all member help will be greatly appreciated as this is your perfect opp to truly look out for someone on the brink of a tuner decision.

BTW Here is my part list
Greddy Type s BOV - (Installed)
Hallman Pro MBC
Walbro 255
Buschur Intake
Buschur 3" Turbo back (Cat delete and High Flow Cat) - not sure which I'm using yet
Triple A Pillar Gauge Pods AC Autotechnic Gauges (Boost, AF, Oil Temp)
