Does E85 increase power down low?

I'm looking at the possibility of converting to E85 to specifically increase power during spool up. Does E85 make more power down low? For example, if I make 100hp at 3000rpms, can I expect to make more power there with E85?

yes it can make more power downlow.. but thats a good way to blow the stock block by giving it gobs of low end torque though. on a stock block you should just focus on top end to be safe. a bbk full on e85 i bet it could make 500tq. you really dont wanna go to much past 400tq for safety on the stock block. but its entirely up to you.

I already have more than plenty of power I need on the mid to top end, and can increase it by upping my already conservative boost of 24psi. I'm actually looking to make power below 3500rpms, more than the top end.

e85 will give quicker spool if tuned for it, so theres your answer.

Oh...another question. Will it destroy my cat? I'm currently running stock cat with a QTP downpipe dump.

No it's fine with a cat. Leaded gas is what you cannot run with a cat.

This is fantastic feedback. For tuning, it allows you to increase timing which results in an increase of torque.

No. There is no issue as your exhaust deals with expended combusting cycles after the fact. I have that same QTP downpipe dump and love it.
