A non typical rpm scale is sometimes part of the power secret. Changing the rest of the map without using the listed rpm wont always offer the same results.

So you're saying it's better to use that non typical RPM scale for more power then?

Is there a quick way to copy that MIVEC ROM rather than changing it cell by cell in ECU Flash?

Sry, I'm still a newb at Ecu Flash

buy it and support the developer. If you already paid then just email him and he'll send you what you need. The product is worth the cost or if you really just dont want to pay use the free alternative.

I doubt the rescale will account for very much in this case as the 4250 is about where the ECU would interpolate between 4000 and 4500.. or at least that's how it looks to me. You could probably leave the 4250 out and be just fine. Normally when I rescale the Mivec's I extend the rpm range to redline.

Also, I was in a hurry and ran it without the rescale. I'll set it up the right way and will log it tommorow. I did get a little power up top too maybe 5 hp so that could be differences in the run. However, this mivec map feels really good from idle to spoolup! it's a keeper.

I just saved this MIVEC map in ECU Flash

Is this safe to use for the mods in my sig?

Also, can anyone please tell me how to use a MIVEC map that someone posts QUICKLY, without having to go column by column and making the changes? That took me forever!

Thanks!

I just went cell by cell and did it

It took about 20 min

I ran the map from NJ and i did not see any knock at all on my mods which is just a cat back and MBC with a air filter so for what that is worth to you.

I think you are going to want to log and see what your car likes if it is safe or not is going to depend on more then just your mivec map you are going to want to look at timming and fuel if you get knock.

Normally mivec map changes will not cause knock. The exception being too much advance on the top end, especially with 91 octane.

I was forced to tune out some partial throttle knock after running NJ's posted map. 91 California Octane. I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem on 93 octane though..

In reference to which Mivec map; NJ or SC?

As soon as I switched to the RS map... (now NJ/JB) ... I noticed my engine feel tighter when cold. Once warmed up its fine.
