If the stock Open Loop Throttle map forces you into open loop at over 20% throttle, then I should be in open loop. However, my O2Feedback is not zero, so either I'm in closed loop, or a zero for O2Feedback doesn't mean you're in closed loop, or I'm not understanding something.
There it is going into open-loop when you reach 100 load. The reading isn't instantaneous for some reason as with items that get logged, like load error (but that's off-topic so nevermind). My car does the same. Open-loop load map at 3000/3500 is about 85 or 90 right? You're over that 85 or 90.
The throttle requirement for that rpm is over 60% I think because the map says 3 volts.
So you're meeting the load requirement. You don't need to meet both load and throttle requirements.
If you had a wideband you'll probably see your AFR start going richer in that area.

Ah! I see. The problem I had was that in this post MalibuJack says the open loop threshold is at about 20% throttle, so I thought to myself that I should be in open loop based on throttle alone. So... from what you've said, I guess the TPS is a 5 volt sensor, and you can just divide the value in the map by 5 (and multiply by 100) to get throttle percentage?

Yup, or multiply by 20 might be easier. [voltage]*20 = throttle percentage
