ECUFlash / Evoscan / Mitsulogger Questions
Hello, I just began the process of remote tuning.
I sent my current ROM off, and just got a bin file base map tune for speed density back.
When I go to open it in ECUFlash I get an error stating: "Unknown ROM Image"
What is there I can do?
Along with the base map, I also recieved the Tephra V7 mod (xml file). I placed it exactly where instructed to.
My question is, do I have to modify something to do with the TephraMod before ECUFlash will accept the SD base map?
Thanks for any help!

I tried everything. Removing and re installing eculash, putting all the xml files in the proper folder, etc. I can't read or write anything with ecuflash. I have to use evoscan to write to the ecu.. but I want ecuflash to work. Anyone got any ideas?
nope its as simple as you describe.. just drop the xml into the rommetadata evo folder, and close/open ecuflash. you probably got some old xmls from somewhere..
try and download the latest from www.evoscan.com/roms/mitsubishi

Evoscan is giving me issues.
It's datalogging very slowly it's like it's lagging, it's behind 2-3 seconds from the actual values it should be.
What it's doing is the first item will log then it goes to the next so on and so forth until it reaches the last item to log and then it goes back to the first item.
So it's only reading one value at a time then going through the rest and loops again and again.

Okay, made progress. I can scan my DTCs using MUTIII, but not OBD2. How accurate are the codes if I use MUTIII on an evo8? I get vehicle speed sensor and barometric speed sensor, sometimes neither, sometimes both, sometimes one, sometimes the other. It's very inconsistent.
My only problem is a high idle, which sometimes goes low and full lean.

So I just bought a openport 2.0 and was trying to read my rom but it tells me unable to read or change but I can save it which makes me think that the last tune I got was lock by the tuner. Is there a way to unlock and see my setting?
Car will not start, has no fuel, spark or CEL. But, EvoScan is showing crazy values while cranking the engine over. Crank and cam sensors get a signal, fuel get to the rail and all fuses were checked 4 times.
Any ideas?

I found this but it's no good (for 88840016)
<table name="Ignition Trim vs Air Temp" category="Timing" address="3c8e" type="2D" level="2" scaling="Enrich">
<table name="Air Temp" address="70e6" type="X Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
Anyone got the correct address for this?

I have an evoscan issue
I can't get it to connect or go "live" with my ecu
Mitsulogger works and reads fine tho
Evoscan can Read my ECU and DL the Rom..
but I can't connect and read CEL codes, or pretty much anything else..
I've tried fiddling with all the settings.. everything looked normal.. but it just doesn't work..
i've tried installing diff versions etc.
I have an EDM evo 9
what is mitsulogger doing that EvoScan can't?
any suggestions?

Evoscan and a USDM 2003 Evo 8.
I am completely new at this so be gentle
. I just purchased Tactrix OP2.0 and installed the latest v2.9.0021 software. It seems like I cant display DTCs or log. At the received Data/Eventlog window I get:
Info: OpenPort 2.0 found
Info: OpenPort firmware v1.11.320
Info: Battery 12,134V
Info: initalize vehicle ecu...
Info: OBDII connecting...
Info: Initializing at 5 baud...
info: Initializing complete...
Info: No response from Vehicle ecu
Info: check DTCs complete.
I have tried Openport 1.3x and 2.0, OBDII 96+ and Mitsubishi MUTIII at device setup.
I also choose the OBDII EFI (all 1996-2006 i.e. Evo7/8/9)
Anyone have any idea what I have done wrong?
Thanks
