EvoScan has a lot of COOL factors to it: Cool Zoom/scrollable graphing support, Easy customizable and movable Gauges and GaugeLayouts that can be shared with others. Evoscan will be able to do AYC/ABS/SRS computers, and can read and clear DTCs for 1996/97 Mitsubishis. and will have a DynoGraph built in, so you will no longer need a copy of DataLogLab at all because all the features of dataloglab will be built in. EvoScan has had Wideband suppport for a long time now and does them well.

Either way, EvoScan is only$25 and Mitsulogger is Free, If you are into your mitsubishi cars as much as we at evolutionm are, you'll want to grab a copy of both and have heaps of fun logging and playing with the cool features of each
When will Evoscan have the dyno feature? And with .97 can you pull boost from the Zeitronix into the Evoscan file or how do you combine the two? Thanks

Mitsulogger is specifically a Tuner tool, it has no bells and whistles when it comes to gages or graphs, its specifically to be able to quickly capture log files that can be analyzed in data log lab.

The new release has subforms that are actual applications for the Zeitronix ZT2 and TurboXS UTEC and Tuner, Even better is these wideband applications can run standalone if you don't need the MUT logging for whatever reason.

I have the info I need for MTS (Innovate) support for the entire product line, but it will not make this release because of the amount of code that has to be written.

I happen to really like Evoscan, but it didn't suit my needs, and source code was never made available to modify it for what I needed, so I wrote my own. I have no real criticisms of Evoscan, as it does the job and works really well. But I paid money for the rights to source code, that was never made available.

Mitsulogger is free basically because I don't want to deal with a commercial development cycle, meanwhile I'm still meeting the deadlines I've set for myself, and the quality and reliability of the app is as good as any similar commercial application, if not better.

What it comes down to is features and what wideband support you need. Mitsulogger is evolving into a full-blown data aggregation product, so its way more flexible than just as a MUT logger, at least upcoming versions will be.

Why don't you let a pro tester be the judge of that? . j/k. I keep on meaning to play with mitsulogger but just haven't gotten around to it...maybe after I get the wideband installed....

I haven't found too many commercial programs that I DIDN'T Find bugs in, so I was being a little facecious, but I try my best to make it perform predictably and not fail at the worst possible times, so I guess thats the best one could expect.

Mitsulogger v1.5 alpha was released this morning..

It logs all data from the TurboXS UTEC and/or Tuner and TunerPro, or Zeitronix ZT2...

Since the entire data stream from those setups is included in the MUT logs, you will see AFR, Boost, and whatever else you have logged, AFR was already added to the Data Log Lab definitions, but you can add MAP for Boost, etc.. Just look at the log's headers and add what you need.

There was no difference in performance logging specific items, or all of them, so I elected to just append all of the items to the MUT logs.

I paid for evoscan but use mitsulogger. I haven't been keeping it up with "tuning" here lately but it looks like evoscan is still the same version it was a month or two ago?

I like simple & easy to use. I have a lot less hassle as far as use/configuration goes with mitsulogger... oh and it's free

I don't think you should leave out ECUedit. I like it alot. Is anyone else using this besides me?

I've never used it, unfortunatly it doesnt support my current wideband. Does it have more granular resolution when editing timing / fueling maps?

I don't use it for editing the ROM, just logging. I'm not sure what your asking though. The "granularity" is built into the ROM not the editor.

ECU Flash only allows you to use whole numbers in the timing table. I've heard other solutions allow for smaller incremental adjustment.

well i've been using mitsulogger for the past 2 weeks or so road tuning my new motor. And like it a lot.

Its easy to use and quite simple. I had a problem getting my serial code for evoscan when it came time to tune so i tried mitsu logger and I like it a lot..

MJ good job with it. I just wish i could resize the main window. Thats my only complaint.

MalibuJack, if I may, I'd like to suggest that the next release of Mitsulogger has a big bright indicator like what's in EvoScan to let me know when the software has started logging.

It's a good feature to have, as it clearly shows me when I can put my foot down and not needing to have to keep an eye on the status window in Mitsulogger to know when the logging starts. Makes it safer to log when you're logging by yourself and don't want to take your eyes off the road.

Perhaps you could come up with a nice large window (400px by 400px) that flashes green when the software starts logging and red when it stops logging. This way, we use peripheral vision instead of having to look directly at the screen for the status of the log

And yes, being able to resize the window would be a very very good thing

I havne't had any issues. you may have better luck posting a thread in the Evo X tuning section with your issue.
