need help with ECUFLASH

I read the image from my ecu with no problems but when I try to open any map within the ROM it says the following "The current map description is invalid or incomplete. Please edit the map description to fix the problem and the map will be viewable again". Any pointers.

thanks

did you save it with the .hex file suffix?

If not, simply rename the file xxx.hex and you should be able to open it up.

Hope that helps,

Tony

There is a folder in the EcuFlash folder that is called metaromdata or something. It contains .xml files with definitions for the different Evos. You need to have the correct xml file for your car in there or you will be unable to see some or all of the maps on your downloaded ROM.

there is one xml file with the same name as my internal id 9694011, I though that ID is unique to each ecu

Hi

Looks like the ID got changed to confuse anyone trying to read it. Do a search on here for scrambled maps. Malibujack has several very good posts about how to solve this issue.
