this is what happened to my boost. once i hit full boost, it is typically a very flat line.

Yeah that's weird man. Are you also using a Tephra V7 ROM?

nope, stock rom with mbc

although...it could point even further to having some weird boost leak that is also causing my trims to be haywire.

@killerpenguine
one other thing i want to investigate is the air temp timing trim. wont have time to do more runs until the end of the week.
interesting, let us know your results

also can somebody chime in, zeroing values in that table would be any good ?

I tunes with that table zeroed out. Then used the table to take 2 out in severe cold and 3 out in high heat. Zeroing is very useful while tuning. But dont forget it as a safety measure tok.

i checked out the table. in all honesty, i have never seen high enough intake temps that that table would have any effect. ive always logged what i was mapped to basically.

your intake temps may never get that high, but when your intake temps are in between values, it will interpolate. So for example, if your in between 38* and 56* C, then the ECU will interpolate the trim in that area.

-1 in that table means that ecu retards timing by 1* at given temps ?

the factory settings dont pull a degree out until 38 celsius, which is 100F. using the stock intake scoop, i maintain temps at the maf very close to ambient unless ambient is 85 or higher or the humidity is rediculous. in which case i want a degree pulled anyway. i dont find myself hovering between temps that im aware of.

so i had a super smack myself in the face duh moment the other day.

i finally got a good enough drill bit so i could get my wideband re installed. went for a ride and hmmm thats richer than i remember being tuned for...

DOH. i had to redo the timing maps because i had dropped down a load column and with no wideband i didnt touch fuel maps...im almost positive thats what has caused my whacky boost plots and some other things lately.

So I've been trying to fine tune my timing map since installing the FP Green and I've hit a wall. I can't seem to get rid of knock at the top end. I've taken the timing all the way down to 1 degrees and I still have knock. Any ideas?

My mods: FP Green (23.5 PSI), Cosworth M2 Cams, Fidanza Adjustable Exhaust Cam Gear (set at -1), 4" Intercooler, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, FIC 1100 Injectors, AMS 3" turbo back exhaust, Megan Racing Exhaust Manifold, Megan Racing O2 Housing

Here is log of a pull I did last week and the corresponding tune:

What are your AFRs up top where you're seeing the knock? Also, this is going to sound kinda pointless, but try smoothing out the area where you've dropped timing from 5500-6000 for the two step (I'm assuming). Sometimes a choppy part of the map will cause the ECU to do weird things even though it's not exactly the area where you're having the issue.

Add race fuel, if your knock doesn't go away, it's your knock sensor. Some are really sensitive, some are duds. I do not trust the knock sensor at all.
