Let's see your fully tuned timing maps
It is very interesting the ethanol fuel allows with timing. Has something to do with the flame propagation stability regarding pressure (beyond the scope of my knowledge), about every ethanol timing map shows 16+º by 6000 RPM.
why is everyone posting map#1,
map#2 is the base map, or are you guys putting both maps the same?
also I agree with 25 or higher boost you need to cut back that timing. seems to much for me.

If you do not set all 3 maps the same, you will not have reliable numbers... the ECU uses a combination of all 3 to get the actual timing used, an no one knows the exact reason for having 3 maps, other than the fact that you need to set them all the same in order to have a repeatable tune
lol shouldnt there be some kind of disclaimer on this thread. So someone who doesnt understand that all cars arent the same doesnt just throw one of the maps on and go boom.
On and it someone will(yeah i know im the dumbest person on here when it comes to comps) tell me how to get just my timing map up ill be more than hapy to post mine before my s1s and after.

Here is my current winter map ...
EDIT :: 93 oct, IX

Honestly guys, I've wanted a car that shot flames for years so I simply had to do it. It's also a nice intimidation method at the track.
(yes, I know that timing only goes to -10)

It was at 6-7-8 and I was building about 12 psi on the line. It's probably closer to 9.5 or 10 psi with 6-8-8 ... I honestly haven't checked. I changed it last time at the track to reduce wheel spin.
I have played around with something similar. Never had a map sensor to get good data, but it seemed like it held boost between shifts a lil better. Downside is it gets a lil annoying on the ears after awhile! haha

also TouringBubble: you rule for admitting your a ricer. i find it hard to believe there isn't a little ricer in all of us who drive this car.
yeah right? not sure if its just New England Dragway's terrible track prep - or maybe my crappy tires? but i don't know how some of you want more boost off the two step - i just spin and spin and spin... my best 60' is 1.8

And it would be silly for me to try to make excuses for that retarded timing on lift off. I didn't do it to hold boost on shifts (I'm using the NLTS mod) ... all it does is shoot flames. And it is AWESOME.
LOL i shot big flames all the time but I have meth
i'll try to post my timing map its meth, self ported 6 blade 20g, 30 psi spike holding 27-28 @ redline, trap 91-92 in the 1/8 running 7.5's, afr's are 11.8-11.4 @ shifting point
