No knock. The possible side effects are increased EGT and reduced engine braking.

I just tried retarding the ignition for flames, and noticed one thing, the ECU will not set timing lower than -10, despite whatever is set in the map.

Also...it worked...lol

TB pointed already pointed that out.

DISCLAIMER: There's a good chance you are decreasing your turbo life every time you shoot fire. So implement at your own risk.

As far as the -10 thing, it's a little confusing. With my testing, I started small (like -2) and went from there. I found that around -15 or -16 is where it seemed to work best. Even though the logs only ever showed -10, if I go below -18 or so on the map or above -12 or so the effect is almost completely gone. It makes no sense, but it was what I came up with ... hence my map.

NO! Do not attempt this if you have a cat installed! You can cause serious damage!

This log had some knock at spoolup.. and counts of 1 and 2's up top. 25+psi.. mods in sig. except this was a brand new OEM air filter.

The car is normally detuned to around 23psi 330+/320+

It goes down there during a normal shift, and shoots flames while running through the gears. I don't know if there's a way to get the stationary limit to shoot flames
