I'm still having issues with the Uego formula. I've added, subtracted and used strictly the figure from fostytou but, the analog numbers are not matching with the Uego gauge readout. I've tried inputting the following figures into the formula:

.03914 (found in the Uego instructions)
.14423 (leaner correlation figure found by fostytou for analog logging)
.18337 (.03914 plus .14423)
.10509 (.14423 minus .03914)

None of these figures worked though, the analog figures would still not match the Uego gauge. Looking through the Uego data I found another chart of for calibration of available outputs, which showed at 0 analog output volts the Gasoline AFR is 10 than at 4.250 analog output volts the Gasoline AFR is 18.50.

These figures are different from what I posted earlier from a EMS Calibration Table that showed at 0 O2 volts the Gasoline AFR is 10.00 and at 4.99 O2 volts the Gasoline AFR is 19.98.

I'm assuming that the data from the Calibration Table of available outputs should be the correct data to be used for the Eval formula but, it only shows voltage of the analog output up to 4.25, so I'm not sure how that would change the formula.

Any help would be appreciated.

i think you will find they are the same:

10afr = 0v -> 18.5afr = 4.250v = 2afr per volt (8.5/4.25)
10afr = 0v -> 19.98afr = 4.99v = 2afr per volt (9.98/4.99)

so your formula should stay the same.

one thing to test - can you change the output scaling on the WB? if you can set it to a flat line, various voltages 0,1,2,3,4,5 and go and do a log, MAKE SURE THE LOG the voltages stay the same... If they are not then you might have a grounding issue.

I'll look into that tomorrow. What about the correct formula? As you've probably read fostytou found a leaner analog difference of .14423. Does this figure need to added or subtracted from the formula? Thats what I don't understand.

I tried several different combinations of formulas as noted above with no success. I think the Uego can be scaled through a knob on the rear but, I'm not sure. If so how would I go about logging the voltage between the two since both are setup to log in afrs?

well as long as the voltages are correct then that formula should work.

do the voltage test first

just had a thought - do the LC1 users take an "instant" afr reading or average it out over the last couple of things (in the LM programmer u can choose)

Its not hard to figure out whether pin 73 is used for anything. Best way would be to have a look in the factory service manual for your car. Second best is to pull the ECU plugs and look to see whether a wire runs into the connector hole for that pin.

I've been taking instant afr readings. What's the difference? I assume an average of a few runs?

On the Uego all I can find in the manual is a test to verify that voltage seen within the EMS analogally matches the voltage seen at the Uego gauge. Apparently all that needs to be done is disconnect the wideband sensor and the gauge will output 2.35 volts. It says to adjust the O2 #1 gain until the O2 #1 volts in AEMPro reads 2.35 volts. How the heck would this apply to ECUFlash/EVOScan? How would I be able to read the voltage coming from the analog output wire from the Uego through EVOScan? I assume I would be able to log the ADC input for the rear O2 sensor input but, how would I do this so that it logs in volts to verify if I'm seeing 2.35 volts as noted in the Uego instructions??

change your formula to 5*x/255 - that will be the voltage the WB is outputting.

its still better if you can test 0/1/2/3/4/5 volts, that way u can see if its linear!

Ah that makes sense since the adc input converter reads up to 5v. Damn I just wish I was smart enough to figure that out ;-) Now in order to set the formula up to read linear would I simply subsitute the voltage number (ie. 0,1,2,3,4,5) into _*x/255?

I just need to figure out how to setup the Uego to do that as well to compare it with the log.

no leave the formula at 5*x/255, but change your voltage in the UEGO (hopefully you can)

then go and do a bit of driving at the different voltages to ensure you are staying at that voltage constantly.. if it changes then you know you have some electrical problems - which need to be fixed first.

Unfortunetly it only looks like I can change the voltage on the Uego to 2.35, but I'll call AEM tomorrow to see if I can change of to 0,1,2,3,4,5 like you suggested. Thx and I'll keep this updated as I'm sure other guys are interested as well.

2.35 is better than nothing.

do that then - just see if it stays at a constant 2.35 (+/- a 0.1's) throughout the revrange.

It is used for the rear O2, what else

I cannot remove it, since my system must remain street legal
(although I have a full 2.75' with 2 metal kats)

The UEGO will be just an add on to be able to tune the motor better.

so u need to run the rear 02 simulator to free up the ADC?
