yeah, dunno if Malibu would be up to it. I'd venture to say he wouldn't be... but there should be some way. Maybe we just need to put together some IRC chat thingy or email list or something... lol old-school intornetzing.

Well I can say i was one of the many with a sh*t a$$ 8 block tune done by you know who. Lets just say the car didnt want to hear it. So thats what brought me to buying a tactrix cable and all the other means to tune so i could make sure i got what i payed for when i pay someone to tune it or when i get the time to tune it myself sometime.

yeah that nasty fuel map was made by a "reputable" shop....amazing how some people stay in business. Lucky for us they aren't a vendor here.

If they are not a vendor, why not tell us whom they are?

it's poor form for me to talk bad about competition, if my customer wants to speak up he will.

This thread will be locked and cleaned up. Please note the following rule concerning the posting of copyrighted material.

No posting of copyrighted or proprietary information without consent. This includes software, images, movies, videos, music, service/repair manuals, vendor maps, and other copyrighted materials of which the poster is not the copyright holder. Linking to copyrighted files, torrents that distribute copyrighted materials, or sites which unlawfully distribute copyrighted or proprietary materials is not permitted. Log files (such as evoscan) are permitted, but use of log files to flame or discredit a vendor will result in deletion of the logs and/or the thread in it's entirety.

The last sentence is exactly where this thread started. Now, before the inevitable astute "Evom sweeping it under the rug" remark is made. If you have a factual instance where a vendor knowingly delivered an unsafe product via a tune please provide it to CharlesJ. If you have facts clearly showing a history of a vendor providing a custom flash in the form of a "stock" tune, then please get it to CharlesJ. We take those accusations seriously when backed by facts and want to remove unscupulous vendors. However, in all most all cases the bravado is quickly reduced to zero when the accuser is ask to provide proof.

Finally, a note to vendor's in this thread. I'm tired of the moderators being thrown into the middle of STC between vendors and instructing them in the future to remove the vendor via a ban until Charles can sort it out. Thanks.
