not had any response to my Q's in other threads about version 5 patch working
with 93660005 (typical rom to jdm 8's in the uk)
does this still need work?

 

we had some problems with 93660005...

try 96530006 instead...

 

so i should just save my stock rom and keep it safe yes?
then port all my maps and immobiliser to your modded 96530006 then upload
that to my ecu?

 

Read the entire 96530006 thread before you go a porting the entire rom. I don't know if the idle control tables will be the same as your rom. They weren't for the guys coming over from 96940011. (USDM 05 rom)

Always keep your original rom safe.

They also mentioned you have to disable the immobilizer to use this rom. I don't know if the same applies to you. But it does for USDM guys running it as far as I know.

 

yeah only copy the tables you original modified, ie fuel/timing/boost... dont copy tables that you didn't modify, ie idle...

try with the immob, if you can start then disable the immobiliser...

why does my stock rom already seem to have tephra values ready to adjust?
i just opened 96530006v5.1 in ecuflash and it doesn't have the tephra options why not?

ok did i make progress?
i added the code for the xml file received with v5.1 rom to the
existing xml for that unmodded rom, then saved the modded xml
as the original , then renamed the 96530006v5.1 to just 96530006
and it would seem the patch is working, have a look at it in ecuflash for me plz

just noticed my stock rom has 2 more tables than 06!
boost enhancement table
boost enhancement map
are they needed?

ok, flashed 06 . ics restores state but car does not start?
at first switch on cel flashes fast ish for 5sec approx pauses for 1 sec then flashes fast ish again for 5secs then goes out!
how do i disable immobiliser
i reflashed my stock back in cus i paniced lol it starts

I don't think you are going to have much luck with 96530006.

 

have now altho i can't remember seeing youngsr saying
he did the flash and it did/didn't work,
i'm willing to have a play maybe its just the immobiliser now?
