EvoScan 2.5 vs DLL Dyno??

Are the HP & TQ dyno numbers similar between EvoScan & DLL when using the same log file? I haven't used DLL yet, but just purchased a license and was wondering if the numbers were pretty consistent between the two. Once I get my license key I guess I 'll be able to figure it out on my own, but was wondering what others were experiencing.

OT: I've been doing some high boost tuning (29psi) on 93oct and I'm slowly approaching the same power numbers my previous "Tooner" got me on 93 & Methanol Can't wait to start playing w/ E85 after I install my injectors

EvoScan estimates HP/TQ from airflow or fuel consumption whereas DLL estimates it from vehicle speed. The values could be quite different.

^^ by looking at EvoScan hp/tq calculation, I though it's calculating based on the rpm and load. I maybe wrong so.

So I finally got around to testing out the same log in Evoscan and DLL; this is my pumpgas higher boost map. Still not done tweaking the timing, but I would say it's 90% done. The peak power numbers are pretty close between the two programs using the same car definitions.

Anyone using DLL with Evoscan 2.5? I tried using DLL with Touringbubble's template file for Evoscan v0.99, but I'm getting power graphs that make no sense. If anyone is having success, please specify which template you're using.

Ted,

Try this, it work for me.

Btw, what "Aero and Defaults" you guys use? Known Characteristic or Coefficient of Drag? What the number did you put in?

Thanks, everything seems to work, but my hp and torque curves are seriously incorrect. Instead of hp and torque crossing at 5252rpm, they parallel each other and don't give numbers that are remotely representative of the actual power.

Use a Cd of .36 and a frontal area of 26 ft sq.

Now, if I can just figure out why I am not getting a usable power graph. I've been through all the settings, and don't see the problem . . .

My EVO Scan 2.5 and my DLL are close together as well ive noticed.. And my DLL was within +/- 5HP from what my car actually dynoed at AMS on the chassis dyno! Crazy how close the DLL can be when used properly. FLAT ground and dont try messing with the settings except for your weight.

Is there a way to change the calculations in EvoScan to make them basically the same as how DLL calculates the curves?

The EvoScan dyno is not good.

I would use Virtual Dyno https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-software.html
