Yep, those are still the stock values, so that shoots my idea down. BTW, those tables have nothing to do with startup enrichment. They are MAF scaling multiplier values that get applied to the MAF scaling as the engine is warming up.

Yeah I saw your comment in the other thread. Thanks for the info...I'll just have to wait a bit longer for a hopeful fix.

Should the scaling for that table be percent128 then? Assuming the multiplication factor goes to 1 at the normal operatign temps?

Eric,

If you can easily switch to SD, can you get a log of FFFF8ABA in the problem load/rpm range when you get a chance?

As soon as I get a chance I will, no problem. Not sure exactly when that will be though. Out of curiosity, what is that variable?

Its the warmup MAF scaling variable. If everything is working properly, it will take its value from those two tables above after the engine is warmed up.

OK sounds good. From what I remember my issue wasn't related to warmup, as it happend after fully warm, but I will log that variable to help troubleshoot towards a potential solution.

Are you thinking possibly it's jumping around that table after warmup? I'm going off of memory here again, but from what I recall it was as if the IPW was dropping out rapidly, then recovering, moreso than jumping up, so I don't think the issue would be jumping up in that table to the colder temp values.

But, I can definitely log to make sure. I appreciate your help.

In most places, this scalar is used for multiplication, but oddly, in one section of code, it is used as a divisor. Anyhow, I suspect it will read 128 after the engine is warmed up, but just want to be sure.

Sounds good.

Out of curiosity....I know you tested SD on your ROM for a short while, right? Did you experience this at all? It seems like more and more people are saying that they are seeing this phenomenon after converting to SD, so I'm wondering if it only pertains to certain ROMs or to the SD patch.

I only drove around for a few days on SD. The only thing I noticed was that throttle response felt a little soft. Because its such a simple patch, there is nothing that even remotely seems like it could be causing your issue. I suppose we'll eventually figure it out.

Hi
Has there been any progress with this issue, Im currently running the SD on my '03 and experience the 2k stutter consistently in gears 2-5 cruising and specially noticeable at light acceleration. I will post a log when I have something

hey eric i was going through the live map version of V7 9653 and was wondering why did u move the ram mut table to the top... it limits the number of items logged to only 16... which isint enough... is it to make space at the bottom for extra tables (most probably SD??)

Yes, with bigmaps there wasn't much space left for RAM tables, so I moved the RAM mut table to the top. That's why I was asking about simply logging addresses directly.

But, yes, you are correct. I need the extra space at the bottom for the SD tables and any other table I want to move to RAM.

hmm i wonder if it is easy to increase the block from 2048bytes to a little more. actually i think i got an easy solution, as long as you do not mind that on reset it will not have the last couple of mut requests you can add them in yourself, via my app (once i fix it a bit more). so say extra 5 requests sit after the 2k block so are not copied to the ram on reset but if we upload them manually they should be alright to log from there.

anyway for my rom test i will move my table to the bottom because i like having extra logging parameters (mostly for displaying)

i am not going to jump for joy yet as i only had it on my car for one day...... but i just increased the size of memory block from 2048bytes to 2112bytes. and all it took was changing 800 to 840 in the rom.

obviously the dead had to be moved, mut table moved, and the display block increased in size but yeah too easy. i wont post up exactly what i did but i am sure u can work it out... otherwise pm me for info.

and if u want to implement the code change and swaps and update the V7 thread it will be very good.

EDIT: the ecu resets the area above a800 in my car so i will have to find somewhere else... or move the whole block back for the 8mr. i will get onto this ASAP.... maybe moving the block back (if it can is a better idea anyway)
