how comes it just works on the 9653? is it because the 9653 came out of a car with no map sensor?
Becuase the 9563 came with no map sensor there are no tests the ECU does for it so essentially we are just logging voltage on the sensor which the ecu was kindly already setup for.

you'll probably find its evoscan not reading the codes properly, I'd suggest you try a different OBD code reader or join pins 1 and 4 on the port and see what the codes are then,
Andy

Check the EGR pressure diff is set to 0, then clear the codes.

When I replaced my oem map sensor with the omni one yesterday, I carefully hold the sensor because i red here that it is spring loaded and that it would fly away . However , there was no spring at all at my surprise.

I have a supposely stock IX MR, is it normal ?

That's normal AFAIK the MDP sensor should not come with a spring underneath it just a o-ring seal.

Just out of curiousity, what would happen if you made these changes to your rom but with the stock MAP sensor?

I feel really stupid but I switched to V7 about 6 months ago and started with the Phenum V7 that already had the mods for the Omni 4 bar.

I'm about to order a 4 bar and I was just looking at the MAP settings in my Rom and noticed that it's already set up. Ooops!!

Obviously, I've been running like this for 6 months with no issues.

you'll probably notice better throttle response now lol.

Do you mean running a stock MAP sensor with 4 bar MAP settings will yield better throttle response or that when I install the 4 bar, I will get better throttle response? Because I honestly never noticed anything weird running like this

I did the opposite and ran a Omni 4 bar map with oem settings and the car would not hold idle for more than a couple seconds. I would have to modulate the throttle too keep it from dying when in neutral.

Hmmm...that's kind of weird then. I would have never known the difference had I not been checking out the MAP settings. Are you using a MBC? would it matter? I use a MBC.

Is there any benefit in using a 4 bar MAP sensor other than being able to log boost if you use a MBC?

TScomp mentioned throttle response....like there is an improvement in performance to be had from switching to a 4 bar map.

Not saying there isn't, just wondering.
