LOL same here, i have been thinking about this all day. BTW, when i told my finance she didn't seem to care about enhanced resolution in timing and fuel tables

JB, what are the other two enhancements you desire if you don't mind me asking?

#1- Antilag like the DSMlink has where we can set the ignition retard vs fuel cut and not be locked into a minimum like we are now.

#2- Coil dwell control

A couple months ago I would have said additional injector control, but based on current market injectors and some that will be coming out soon, I dont think thats needed anymore.

You forgot about true flex fuel control, which I think is something mrfred is working on. That would be one eventual feature that would be nice to have, although with easy map switching, it's not an absolute necessity.

For #1. (launch maps) Not quite the same as Tom and Dave did it, but it's actually a bit more flexible. The only downside is that you can't enable it during shifts, although I don't suspect it would be too hard to add one more condition for switching to the launch maps ("is NLTS active?").

For #2. (Discussion, although I think you've already seen that. ) At the very least, it's a starting point; bring your o-scope.

And yeah, true flex-fuel. Want. Very badly.

Logic, I have seen those but I dont quite consider them finished yet. It took awhile for SD to be truly finished since Bez first introduced the concept. We are definitely getting closer to a standalone all the time. We have live tuning, SD, launch control that is getting better all the time, etc. I know we are close and dont want to look unappreciatieve because of course I am not in anyway.

In fact to Dave in particular I want to make sure I say a heartfelt thank you. All the way back when you had me do some of the beta on the initial knocklight and people that I was crazy at the track because I would throw timing at the car, pull the WG line, and then take the laptop out of the car.

Have you guys seen the flex fuel analyzer that zeitronix offers? I happened to come across that the other day and thought of you guys. I'm pretty sure that we can easily create something like this internally with the use of the flex fuel sensor. I'm sure you guys are WAYYY ahead of me though. Still waiting for E85 to be available here

Cant you just go to edit map definitions, you can change how many colums there are i just made one with up to 1000 load, going up by 20's and up to 12000rpm goin up by 250. You would just have to fill in the map,

unfortunately it doesnt work so easy. the maps overlap so you just add to another map is all.

Just to reiterate, since a lot of people don't quite understand this concept. You CANNOT do this. If you do, you will be overwriting other areas of the ROM. The ROM doesn't have your map, then a bunch of empty space, then more maps. Everything is right next to each other in a contiguous fashion, so you can't just make something bigger.

Maybe a computer analogy to help understand....If you have a full hard drive, can you make a file on that drive any bigger? No, unless you overwrite another file.

I just want to make sure people don't do this and mess up their ROM, or worse, their car.
