Break-thru: Reading ACD ECU with EcuFlash
EvoScan v2.7.0090 can now successfully ACTUATE AYC Air Bleed and ACD Air BLEED options for Evo7/8/9.
in EvoScan v2.8 I'm gonna increase the logging support for the ACD/AYC (and is it true that its actually a shared ecu in the evo7/8/9?) so in EvoScan only select AYC for Evo4/5/6 and select ACD for Evo7/8/9 ACD/AYC.
I also updated the tech info website with your pinouts Acamus, looks great: http://www.evoscan.com/technical-veh...cd-ayc-sayc-at

TESTED this morning (evo IX EDM thus with ACD & AYC , 1.3U cable modified for ACD/AYC logging) . Results (select ACD ecu) :
- ACD and AYC actuators is working

- ACD/AYC ECU logging is also working

- (correct scalings yet tbd)- ACD/AYC ECU DTC not working
great job Hamish - thanks a lot
Plus I should get a E7 RS sprint soon, plus I am trying to get an 8 RS but that could be some time away. I also have a harness that can be used in car, all you need to do is remove the plugs and we can flash to it
Cheers

Thanks, John sent me the ROMs, your harness is just what I was looking to make, and will get round to, maybe after SD and getting the WI back working. Do you have a source for the AYC ECU plugs? I was going to ring Evobreakers.
Cheers, Marcel
I have 1 set left of the ACD plugs left but no OBD+flash plug.
I got them from John so I don't know if he has any left but I can send you my spare set as I don't need it

I am also trying to get a set for the 5/6 AYC ecu, but it means he will have to cut the loom.
Cheers

Rawkus , like this (as per Evoscan site instructions) :
How to get Mitsubishi AYC/ABS support from an OpenPort 1.3U cable.
Step 1) Pin1 must be linked to pin15.
Early OpenPort cables did not have Pin15 linked to pin1(check with a multimeter continuity test) to see if its connected.
a) No pin1 on the OpenPort cable. Move pin1 on the vehicle side to the pin15 position.
b) Pin1 is connected to Pin4/5 on the OpenPort cable. Move pin1 on the vehicle side to the pin15 position.
c) Pin1 is connected to Pin15 on the OpenPort cable. Cable is AYC/ABS ready.
Step 2) Try logging with EvoScan v2.5 or later. Select Mitsubishi, and select ECU to "AYC" or "ABS", Press start datalogger. If it doesn't connect, then perhaps you have pin9 interference. Goto Step 3.
Step 3) Subaru 2002 vehicles use Pin 9 for reflash support, but it interferes with the AYC/ABS ecus on some Mitsubishi obdII ports, so you can either break pin9 off the OpenPort Cable, or put a switch on pin9 on the vehicle OBDII connector.

Just an update from the UK,
We have been testing around 4 cars now with some roms and different settings, we have got entry and exit speed up by up to 20%.
Roundabout speeds (full 360 turn ) as well are up from 35 mph to 50 mph before the front starts to wash out.
Balance is a load better as well with no major over steer, you can now pile on the power and have a controlled drift.

You may have to explain roundabouts here Lee.
BTW did you see my PM re the plugs? Ta.

Thanks Lee, I have a female OBD II plug with tails, so only need the ACD end of things.
Here's a slightly madder roundabout.........
