Here's the complete rom info off my ACD unit. I believe I should be able to convert this ROM to 401403 yes?

Can i help on this project ? I'm from Europe Hungary. We have some Evo 6 TME, Evo 8 EDM, Evo 9 JDM, maybe evo 9 EDM and Evo X EDM too. I can try to read out the rom. Also a lot of rally team are here with standalone Motec, Pectel Ecu in evo 6 and evo 9. If it is help maybe I can get logs. Lot of people will happy If we can tune the system without expensive after market ecus.

Can you save the ROM and email it to me ?

You should be able to convert over, but make sure you save the old rom.

No problem . I'll get it off to ya later tonight or tomorrow at some point.

Is there a point of saving it even though no tables show up? As you can see, it's completely "empty". The reason I'm thinking the 401403 rom would work is because they're both evo8 and labeled as 2004. Just a guess though.

Yeah, but I was wondering if the rom's were "standardized" like the ecu roms. I read earlier in this thread that different roms can be flashed to different ACD units, but I just want to make sure before I fudge anything up.

hi,

i am from Lithuania, in Europe. I have acceses to few different USDM Evos, VIIIs and IXs. I have also Rallyart Rally Gravel ACD ecu. So if somehow i can help to make ACD flashable, editable - please let me know.

I know many rally teams/drivers here, and I think i could be able to get GEMS/Motec/Pectel ACD roms/maps for gravel mainly, because tarmac is not populare here.

cheers,
Mindaugas

It would be excellent to see what the engineers did with the advanced mapping of ACD. Any posting of Ralliart maps would be interesting to see compared to some of the professionally tuned roms and stock roms. Read away my friend

It would be great if we could get those to compare against the factory tune. Are they built on the same hardware architecture as the USDM OEM ACD?

Reflashed my AYC/ACD ECU today. Made the gear up from a cigarette lighter adapter for the 12V, an OBD II female connector from eBay and the trickiest bit, the AYC/ADC ECU plugs from a spare loom ( thanks Ant!).

I had to cut out a redundant pin on the ECU plug and move it, for the reflash voltage. Buzz out the correct wires on the OBD cable, then crimp them up. All pretty simple really. I now have the Ralliart maps on gravel, the standard tarmac ones on snow, and a little something I knocked up myself on tarmac.

A quick drive shows the Ralliart maps reduce under-steer, and I'm convinced add weight to the steering, which is really nice.

All in all the cable is quite easy to make up and flashes reliably. Very cool, thanks for all the work gents.

Acumus, can you give a very simple guide to loading this up in IDA?
