not saying it wont and is great someone is tring to do it , just saying is far easyer with pump control,if you use even bigger ones
the future is returnless sistems in wich pump will play even greater role(look at every modern engine , especially with direct injection). i don't have this problem i can go under 1ms total pulse widht but no injector is eficient there...

 

I have read through this thing a MILLION times and I still cant get my car to idle any leaner than 10.9....

What settings are you all using??? I have tried everything from 1.040 down to .024 and the bastard still idles 10.9 or lower. Sceen shot of my settings, am I doing something wrong???

 

we've been able to make this work on the FIC 2150's routinely but we did run into an evo X with ID 2000's that idled either very rich or rough as hell no matter what combination we chose.. We spent hours and hours on it and eventually had to roll back to the stock injectors just so he could drive the car back home. We could have got him going but we already sold our last set of 2150's during that tuning trip. I'm still not sure what the problem was there. Last I heard he was ordering some FIC's and he ended up being successfully tuned by someone else in his hometown.

 

Go back to 1.040 and bump injector scaling up to 1624 for pump or 1218 for E85

 

Does these numbers reflect both ways?

 

What? If you are on pump run your injector scaling at 1624, ir you run E85 set the injector scaling at 1218...

we had the same problem with an EVO X and ID 2000's, regardless of what we plugged in the car ran at 11.5 AFR or like crap. It worked fine on my car and gary's so I assume it had something to do with that particular ROM.

 

My ipw is .040. Should I try to lower that?

I need to bump this thread. I'm having the same issues as Weezy03 was having. I'm using the 96530706 v7 rom and have tried all kinds of settings and can't get it to run properly. Now I tried sticking the stock injectors back in and it won't run worth a crap at all. I'm not sure if I missed a step or what but after patching the ECU, it seems that it gave me problems.

Is there any suggestions anyone has? Mellon or Tephra? I could really use the help on this one especially since its my friends' car we're working on.

 

From my understanding, once you apply the patch, you need to set the min IPW at 1.280 to return to stock. If you undo the patch, the value should be 0.040.

 

Just tried that and had no luck. The patch is put patch isn't on 0009 either.

EDIT : I should say that it actually ran, but was rich as hell.

 

Doh, well, that was the extent of my knowledge of this. I didn't even know this patch existed until you bumped the thread this morning, lol.

Maybe undo the patch completely? Perhaps it makes the stock code skip something that the stock code requires to keep the stock injectors happy?

What values are in your three patch windows?
