Output Pin Control
Some tuners know but almost everything on the evo is controlled via some output pin of some kind. Last time i was active I was going to write up a output pin control for buschur.
Now that I have some time again I was thinking I could take this project back on. I do have some ideas though which may make the system more generic.
Far as I can tell there only seem to be two major IO ports which are controlling most of the evap, egr, fps, and various other junk in our cars.
Some of these pins are PWM some aren't and here in lies my quandary.
I could simply make a bitflag table for the pins and let you guys activate direct control of them. We could also make a static axis table for certain control points like Load, RPM, etc.
This would make the system more robust than a set of tables and clean up the interface quiet nicely. Of course there is pretty much no way i can test these without an evo but writing the code for it is trivial.
Last thing is essentially is there any need for something like this or is this kind of work simply too custom to bother with? The average joe from what i can see wouldn't want to rewire their ecu to meet some need.

Are you talking like a simple, for instance, tps 0...5vdc on-off output, or rpm based as well?
The rpm one can be usefull , for 0.. 5 vdc based ya just need a mosfet and trimpot for makeing your own circuit

I'd be vary interested in something like this.
Would it be possible to have it build in something like above a certain RPM and mph, but then cut out when the clutch is depressed?
Let me know f I can be of any help!

I think it will be useful. I use the IC Spray relay output to trigger items like alky kits and stuff and I know some drag guys run nitrous and might find a use to activate/deactivate it with specific parameters.

hate to bring this back from the dead but im very interested in this . if one of the gurus are willing to do it im honestly willing to pay. im doing a evo8 ecu swap into a 1g and its an auto i need some nitrous control in a rpm window . if no ill be forced to use a switch and eye ball rpm and manual kill @ my desired rpm . just a little too much to keep track of when competing . thanks!

Hopefuly the stall will b around 4-5k rpm
Parameters im looking for should be something like this ...
Mph</=1 ,activate till x mph once above x load. And a safety parameter kill if above x psi/load just incase wg boost refrence becomes un hooked
(Would say mph but then i would need it to be gear dependent. ) which wouldnt be bad either

Also i was asking a friend does the voltage from the wg pin fluctuate to hold a certain duty cycle? Or does x voltage pulsate the solenoid? Because if it works the 1st way i stated the 100 wgdc should be able to activate it useing the boost by gear table
