So need some information about your setup. Specifically, if it is a stock block or built (built are noisier than oem), and fuel type and turbo, etc...

I personally don't mess with the knock sensor settings unless it is warranted. E85 for instance will remain quiet while things COULD be going wrong, so you wouldn't make it MORE DEAF...
And if your stock block and stock turbo (or even say a 20g), then again; you wouldn't make it less sensitive unless your sure that the knock it is picking up is because of some other factor...

In short ... KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK..... is what happens BEFORE something breaks... By changing if the ECU can HEAR the knock, your taking away the opportunity for the ECU to pull timing and boost and safe the engine.

Stock block with 2.2 manley Stroker kit, PTE6466 with IDX2000, Fuel E85
I'm sure it is fake knock.

I had this BS "ghost knock" issue and the shop was chasing it with all their might since some people reported that the harness could be damaged when pulling/installing the engine (and the techs are morons). they "tested" the sensor and said it was fine. they even "tested" a new one but not installed on the block. they even installed haltech to cheat it. when I finally got it home I just reached under and lightly pulled the sensor wire and it came off. I changed the sensor, problem went away, and politely threw the haltech back to them

Yes, it is possible. But, I checked all harness everything good.

Is lean spool on or off?
Have you pulled timing in the tables in advance is see if it STILL tries to pull timing?
What is the AFR during these spool knock events?
Is throttle WOT when it occurs, and does it occur at throttle % less than WOT?

You should not be able to get knock at cruise. There is a table called Knock Sensitivity Load Threshold that basically says "if the load is less than this, ignore the knock sensor". I am curious what yours has in there!!!

Great, your answer helpful.

What about "Knock Background Noise Multiplier" and "Knock Background Noise Adder (SINGLE GAIN) #1" can you explain it?
