Dose this mean that if OE compnents COULD fit, eg crank, rods, pistons, cams, etc, then its still a 4G63 engine?......

Im usee that with any billiet block you could machine the block to take stock components not these super HP items.

Its also strange that the domestic market dont look on aftermarket block/head combos as not being the original engine any more. the LS engine is a great example.

Regards,

Chris.

I'm not talking ****, but I don't think that car has run anything close to the time a 4000 HP 4-cylinder would deliver.
4000 HP is top alcohol territory and I don't think he's even broke Rau's time.
yes thats the one.
my point being the car is experimental, exhibition only unchartered territory. which leads to entertainment but not records.

I'm with you 94AWD, but you know how people on here get when they hear an objective opinion...

Hi,

The billet block and the billet cylinder head is just a quick glance to another project.
The project that i have inside here for the new record its stock cylinder head and block. U can see it at the pictures that are stock.
BUT on the billet block its made to fit all the stock parts directly. The only that need is the water pump and the balance shafts. If we anodize it black noone will see the diference.
These parts are for racing use only and specialy designed. These costs a fortune and its not for display purposes or entertainment as i saw someone write here. Noone customer gives his money to us for display items. We suply only superior parts.
U cant aiming so high with cheap parts from the market and the self.
The titanium crank costs almost the half of a complete evo ix car.

I have an idea of where those titanium billet cams are made and what they cost - more than my entire engine.

As for the Ti crankshaft, is that what is shown in the photo you posted previously? If so, what type of surface treatment is that?

Spyro, I read on the first page you only care for engine power. Well you showned that. Excellent work, keep it up.

i saw a program last night on the RR Trent Jet turbine engine. Suffice to say this is the kind of tech that the aero industry has been using for years! guys hand welding Ti compressor blades, specific alloys developed for applications, single cristal cast turbine blades...... and at the end of all that hand assembled.

Sypro im glad you are being this kind of tech to the automotive world, i only hope some of the other tuners are watching and listening to waht you are doing. Guys is EVERYONE was using berillium pistons the price would problably be pretty reasonable.

as huntington said, this kind of work is in the aerospace world. The quality of parts there, and strength and quality control etc is bar none. THe documentary on the veyron showed this concept very well. the rear wing was all hand done by aerospace welders etc. These parts are in a different league. I'm sure the block and head are well over 80k i guess.

Subscribed, I think when the beast hits the road it will be very very interesting. Best of luck Spyro. I bet it will leave everybody speechless at the night scene in Athens. This is one race I won't loose.

The power level is awesome, but everybody needs to realize there measuring flywheel horsepower not awhp. It's still an awesome set-up, but whp and flywheel hp are different things. In order to be fair to the record, the car should at least run on a Dyno Jet or Mustang Dyno, then you can compare apples to apples. Let me iterate that this build is impressive and nothing to take lightly, but fair is fair.

My only point was I don't think anybody has pulled off Turbo + Nitromethane? Not mixed Methanol + ~10% Nitro, but straight Nitro...

Norwood tried and I think has had nothing but problems trying to get it to work. Bad enough that I thought he gave up on Nitro all together and just went Methanol?

I recall the first days of methanol on Imports too though and it took a season or two before anybody could go rounds on methanol. I hated watching the Hot Rod cars as almost every one of them was blowing motors every other run, or worse when they first went to methanol. They eventually got it figured out though and Nitro could be the exact same story.
