The more of these parts floating around the more track and dyno results we will see. I'm really looking forward to seeing how some of these can benefit your average joe.

Spyros,

If I may, I have a question on your intake ports, specifically the shaving of the valve guide down to the port bottom: I often also see that there is a 'trailing ridge' left just before the valve guide and shaft.

Why did you shave the guide all the way down to the port bottom?

Thanks,
Walter

Finally someone engineering these heads rather than polishing them.
What epoxy do you use in the exhaust ports? Looks like jb weld form the colour. How long does that last in the exhaust? I always weld the exhaust port and epoxy the inlet because i cannot get epoxy to stay in exhaust port. I've tried jb weld, belzona 1111 and 1511, loctite metal set, devcon and splashzone 788. 2 of those will stay in the intake port forever, 1 comes loose after a year the others after a week! But in exhaust port is fail. But if i could avoid tig welding inside the exhaust ports i would.
Did you also weld the combustion chamber? I recently did an evo head with a lof of chamber welding before putting new seat inserts in. I wanted to fix the bad angles without having a step off the new inserts plus i changed shape between the valves.
Did you consider to move the injector to the port floor side when lifting the port? I think that would be better for you with a proper injector at 5 bar.

head ports

You are the first shop other than my own that Ive seen raise the ports that much.If i was state side i would send you pictures of the last generation raised port head i did back in 2003 if you are willing to do more welding and do away with a conventional bolt on intake port the intake can be raised almost 1/4 inch more if you are going to do a new head casting i can do a drawing scan it and send you to explain the changes i developed .the exhaust port you have pictured can be raised even further if you are willing to do welding a lot more!

injectors

Since you are also doing more methanol based projects i would also suggest you take a look at mike moran big cc custom injectors http://www.moranmotorsports.com/ he has video's showing the spray pattern differance compared to the style you are using and i think you will find so major improvements to be had there!
