It's the same guy that bought the black Evo that AMS did a while ago called "Sharkbite". He bought an ET turbo and did a few other things as well to the car and it cost and arm & leg. I never heard anything else past that.

 

In for results! Dave, do some runs on pump and e85. low boost and high boost.

 

The evo that is picture doesn't have the aero to go that fast, maybe if they plan on changing the front end.

 

so what happend?did he sent turbo for testing?

 

Turbo has been shipped to me, don't bug me about it, I need to get a car worthy of doing the test on, get the customers permission to use his car to do it and then have the time to dyno the car with an FP Black or Red on the same day as the ET turbo. There's a chance it may not even get done once I get the turbo. I've told the owner of the turbo, I will do it if I can find the time, car and such to do it. I have zero to gain from it, a day of hard work is all I am going to get out of it.

BTW, John Shepherd in his AWD 1G talon has gone 197 mph in the 1/4 mile with a BUSCHUR RACING 2 liter engine.

 

I'd like to think everyone appreciate that you are doing this test to no personal gain, short of curiousity - so huge thanks if you do it, and imho no loss if you don't.

And btw, HOLY **** on the Talon - when did that happen?? What kind of times? I was worried he was getting disheartened by the mission of getting an AWD to hookup and go straight...

I will be the first to congratulate ET for their Subaru Impreza that broke into the 8s. They are claiming 1400 bhp and full interrior.

The car from Saturday was cutting insane 60fts in the 1.2X region and i think their best pass was a 8.7 @ 259 km.

Of course i asked more information on their automatic transmission and setup and various people from their camp are claiming that its still a manual... anyway i will not even bother arguing...

BTW this is a dogbox Impreza that did one good pass at 9.0 @ 258 km just for comparison...




On a side note on the same race a Greek developed and built Audi S3 with the 3.2 6 cylinder motor on the street class probably broke the world record in the VW cars with a 8.844 @ 258 km and a best trap of 259 km at 2.1 bar boost pressure and a stock gearbox with just the 3rd and 4th gears modified to hold the power...

The 2000 bhp EVO didn't come or any other EVO in the really fast classes.
