Wait, so you're saying someone who prefers a smaller turbo with better response for auto-x, time attack, and DD'ing isn't a serious enthusiast?

To each their own.

Seriously.
Please quit spouting your interpretation of a "street car" as fact.

I'm saying "to each his own," and also that it's not FJF's place to define a street car for them. My 630 whp E85 car is my favorite "street car" out there.
Do you want to spool and make descent horsepower and torque wherever you want? Or do you want to make big Horsepower and torque when you choose, and get better MPG the rest of the day?

I like option #2.
I'm not racing til I'm racing. And when I am racing I'm not afraid to use my 9k limiter.

FJF = Best rebuttalest (I know that’s not a word) on Evom??.

Even if he was wrong, he would somehow convince me he is right lol. As was stated earlier i enjoy the back and forth banter, as it has yet to degrade itself into name calling as it does in so many other threads.

Anyway continue on.

People expect different things out of their "street cars," the definition of the term varies by driver. So FJF, it's not your place to say that just because someone is making 100 ft/lbs or so at 3500rpm, that it's

As this is not a street car, but a purpose-built machine, all other dialogue is essentially moot. Best of luck to ET on the project and on achieving their goal. I don't know if I can make this more clear.

Please don’t continue the posts if this setup is friendly for town etc.

This setup is built to be the quickest street legal car.
The owner can use the antilag to make a street race from 10-20-30mph or Launch control from standing race or nothing from 40mph and above.
We have balance most of the aspects and unfortunately for this kind of horsepower we wanted the spool will be close to 7500-8000rpms. If we make the time we want with just 1450hp then we will use 300hp smaller turbo that can spool 800-1000rpms lower spool and max 1450hp.

But we didn’t care about it because we have close to 4000rpms power band. Its like a normal tuned car with a pt62 that have power from 5000rpms to 9000rpms.
We think to a next project, to build a turbo compressor setup for customers that don’t want to sacrifice low torque – for high power.

Nice - there is no debating that. Will be interesting to see what the results are!

We are not happy with the time so far generaly, but we are with this boost.

We can pass 60-130 (100-200 for us) just with single gear as the engine rpms are too high.

Our gearbox changes are faster or close to gtrs and lambos.
The extra weight of the car help us to add more power vs traction.

Torque helps the car with many changes accelerate. power move the car faster.

Next week we will try to brake 3< sec.
we have also videos of the tests. and pics that the car interior is 100% stock with cdplayer and everything from factory. We dont have inside any gauge or something that shows that the car is tuned. no boost gauge no oil p. no wideband no egt nothing at all. The ecu can manage all the data and "think". Many many parameters and strategies make the car collect data from 4 wheels and road traction. ofcourse lambos and gtrs dont use these kind of electronics as they are not designed for these kind of Hp.

We would like to thanks McLaren working with us. i have to make a special post for this.
Hi - I haven't read this whole thread so I have a couple of questions about this car.

What type of transmission is in it?

To Spyros- what gear do you run to pull from 60-130 mph in 1 gear and what rpm does the pull start at ?

Have your times been posted somewhere as I haven't seen them yet ?
I am very interested to see where you are at with the times.

I think I may just concentrate a little this year on some of these time splits everyone is interested in.

Spyros what is the cars time 100-150 mph ?

Just for a little reference 3 years ago I ran 0-300 kmph in about 11 seconds on street tires and an un prepped track(texas mile).

Unless they make there own final drive, this is what I came up with for 1 gear 60-130mph
Based off stock tire diameter
Evo 9 1st gear
Evo 8 2nd gear
Evo 8 3rd gear
Evo 8 4th gear
Evo 8 5th gear
Final drive 3.73
Reving to 12500rpms
They would be able to use 2nd gear from 60-130mph
I believe using there anti lag to start off with. So doing the math it sounds right that they can achieve that 1 gear 60-130

Skip back to pages 51, and 53. The transmission they run is really nice

Oh and I think that Spyros has posted multiple high horsepower evos, so it's not just one car, the video on 53 features one of them.

They have their own gear box, not sure about the fd used along with it.

Looks like it is still a 5 speed but modified to except the seq paddle shifters. Maybe spyros can answer that.
