763whp/595tq STOCK ECU, SpeedDensity, E85 by TTP!

So in the last few weeks we finally got the clutch situation worked out with the gray '05 MR, my personal daily driver.

With some time we got the speed density system up and running on the car on the kavlico 5bar (Zeitronix) sensor which has a capability of reading up to 60.3psi boost above atmospheric pressure.

There is a little more left in the car. Our tuning session was cut a little short for Halloween so with base fuel pressure bumped a little on the FPR we will be able to extend the legs a little further.

We found that there was no 5bar calibration that was remotely close to correct for our car on the forum so we spent much of the time carefully scaling the 5bar sensor to match the load cells in the ECU for a consistant, calculated and calibrated measurement so when we really got into tuning the cells we could easily know where we stand without having to check loadcalc in the datalogs on every pull.

Power Mods off the top of my head so I could miss some small stuff.

-TTP G.A. 9.0:1 compression aluminum rod race motor
-TTP hand ported head, Supertech black nitrided 1mm over intake valves, Supertech Inconel +1mm exhaust valves, Supertech NEW Beehive Springs, Supertech bronze valve guides, Supertech viton valve seals
-Magnus V5 intake manifold
-Boomba Racing 75mm Throttle Body
-ETS 5in IC with 3 in black powdercoated piping
-TTP 4" intake with AEM dry cone 4" filter
-Tial Q bov vta
-ETS Equal length manifold HTA86 35R turbo, 44mm WG
-STOCK IGNITION COILS AND WIRES
-STOCK ECU, with speed density conversion (thanks to Dr. John Banks)
-TTP Ethamax 1600cc injectors with TTP Fuelab regulator kit on stock rail
-Dual modded walbro fuel pumps in FullBlown Twin pump housing stock fuel lines
-Running on E82% fuel
-Quartermaster Twin Ceram clutch

This car just rips on the street. It will go to the track with AC, PS, 3490lbs with driver. It will do what it will do. The clutch will hold now and not pop the wedge collar like the EXEDY twin every other pass. The BOV will stay put as the flange is welded to the UICP and clamshell clamped. The car has run 10.9@134 with about 641whp with full lift shifts and the wedge collar breaking on the pass with a 1/2 " brake booster hose popping off the intake causing a big boost leak.

Wanted to thank ETS for a great turbo kit. Boomba Racing for an awesome 75mm throttle body, Supertech Performance for amazing valvetrain components, Magnus Motorsports for a superbly crafted cast intake manifold, Quartermaster for the lightest and strongest clutch for the money in the marketplace, Dr. John Banks, Dave AKA Tephra, Jamie AKA JOT for their contributions in advancements to the stock ECU development.

Our short term goals are 9.9@143mph+ STOCK ECU

World Record STOCK ECU E.T. and MPH

World Record WHP record on STOCK ECU

After these have been achieved, we will work on weight reduction and/or a possible new chassis for the powertrain to be transferred to like so many others have done.

TTP FTW! Great job on pushing the stock ECU to the limits! That's a ton of power for a street car

Its a COP unit we had on the car before dynotesting while installing the FMIC. Once we moved to stock coils the spark improved. 50psi+ was able to be achieved without a miss on stock coils.

Nice going Scott, seems as though we are fighting for the same records should be fun.
How do you like the Boomba TB? Bet that thing revs like a motorcycle

Did you have problems with that COP?

Wow the "stock motor" personal car magically has a built motor now.

All sheets read davis, motor, engine bay and graphite grey. What happened to the stock motor?

bummer

I'm not sure how you guys at GST operate but at TTP I'm certain magic had little to do with it. More like hard work and money well spent to get it in there to push the HTA86 setup much further as you can plainly see.

Cool. Nice to see what the 86 is doing on E85. I am curious how much boost and what cams?

Ryu, I prefer magic. Makes it so much less time consuming lol

Sure does. Stock motor is on the floor beside me. I will sell it to you for $2500
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7546541-post14.html

After speaking with Marco Passante from Magnus Motorsports and telling him of our ambitions for stock motor world records, he responded "for what? do you enjoy pain? In the end, what do you gain? What do you have to lose? $5000+ in an engine?"

So we took his advice since our HG was lifting over 40psi we decided to push it for another two months before changing the setup. If we had to change the HG and moved to L19's as we did, we decided to move to a no BShaft TTP Race engine with aluminum rods with CP pistons and rings setup for 40psi+ clearances so that the engine could be used as it was designed for, high boost.

The stock motor looks beautiful from E85 use. Perfect in every way. It is available for sale complete with frontcase, bshafts, and oil pan. If it does not sell, it will go back into the Gray MR if we transfer this powertrain into our race chassis.
