Great job Dan, now lets see 100% meth and a larger jet

Aaron, could you please post an overlap of Dan's Red on meth vs the Black on meth. I know the Red was on 100% and the Black was on 50/50 but I am interested in looking at the tq difference. Thanks

Just in case anyone wanted to know, I do believe that both the Red and Black are unported. Get job on the comparison Aaron.

Mikey

That is correct, both of these are unported and use the same WG actuator (18psi). On the meth stuff that will be in Dan's specific thread when I get all the data off the dyno computer for his Red numbers. This is solely Red vs Black on pump. I added the end numbers just as a teaser of what is leading up to the Drift Office dyno day the 12-13th. After that the final numbers will be put up and compared.

You have the .jpg, you do it! Don't you have some bullets to catch or something, or are you still getting limo'd around?

Come back safe and we'll have the info, Mikey!

P.S. - what Aaron said, the one computer that was down has the old file. Oh yeah, I don't plan on running the bigger jet at this point. You and Matt can have all that fun.

That's great, Aaron! I appreciate the time you took to post that.

Aaron has got me talked into a 2.4L now, I think. Your setup is going to be wicked, Johnny!

And of course you had to post that S2 info in this thread, Aaron. I'm replying to your email that I ignored earlier.

I figured now was as good a time as any to trade up since I have low miles on my Red. When more results start popping from cars with the Black installed, used Reds will start hitting the market and the infamous low-ballers will score some deals.

I have seen posts from people getting Red-->Black conversions (I think I've only seen one person officially, actually), so that is another option for you to weigh, Matt. Big jet meth and the Black should be pretty sweet! Oh yeah, and no sticky WG for me this time!

28-29psi and good timing but depends on if you build it as an 8.5:1 or higher compression really. We run 27-28 on 92 but get limited because of the octane as far as boost and timing.

S2s need valvesprings since the cam works well above 8k with a larger turbo

Man, there's been some good info coming from the NW contingent lately!

The Red and Black both share the same turbine wheel, the tdo6h turbine 67mm (specs for the wheel are all over the net). The compressor wheels are different, the Red has the HTA76 wheel, and the Black has the HTA82 wheel. You were on the right track with what the combo's were, but now you know Talonboost.

Thanks for the dyno tests ER!!

Aaron, do you think that I could run boost in the high 20's with the DSM Black that I have with my talon?? I would be stoked if I could gain a couple hp over the 3575 that I previously had on there, not to mention the extra tq and 1,000+rpm from the Black spooling way faster.

When I can convince him to bring the car up I am going to do a pull from EXACTLY the same RPM on the S2 setup so the powergraphs are even more obvious.
What do you mean by "Evolved S2's"? I just purchased S2's and was unaware of an evolved set. Can you explain?
