This car was knock prone on the original 2 liter. The engine did end up spinning a rod bearing BUT I can usually pick up on that type of noise and even with listening to the engine a few times during the orignal tuning session I never heard anything.

The knock activity is still there and it's aggravating. Considerable time was spent today and it's as sorted as I can get it. 25 psi seems to be about the peak boost for 93 octane.

There are many things that can cause knock and I'd love to go into great detail here about my thoughts on this but it's not for here. Post are taken down and it pisses me off, so I'll leave the better tech for elsewhere.

Rogue, I'll try to give you a call tomorrow.
Whats the actual compression on the engine?

Time to try meth or e85?

At least a meth kit is easy to do an cheaper then going with e85 would be a quick test to see what the engine can do.

Really liking the numbers you are putting out BTW this thing can handle so much more can't wait to see what you get it up to.

rogue, i can't wait to see this thing run man. it pulled strong on the 2.0 so im sure this 2.4 will be impressive on the street. I would definitely like to see you upgrade to a black....but you know that. stop by when u get the car back.

444/433! hell, im hoping my car puts down those kind of numbers on a dynojet lol

the 9.5:1 is probably the biggest limiting factor for boost on 93. On e85, meth, or anything 100+, I'm sure that the results will be night and day, well, more so then "usual". Nice build.

The 9.5:1 is not a limiting factor for pump gas, not even close. I've run 11.5:1 at over 30 psi of boost on nothing but 93 octane.

I am hoping that knock sensor clears the path for more timing. Got my fingers crossed.

Can you come to my forum and tell everyone who thinks my 10.5:1 will not run i keep telling them with meth and a good tune it will run fine!

I guess they do not understand the point of a tune?

I want to see some vids of it though.

Its got more in her, get the knocks down, its awesome to see the the hp and the torque are pretty much matched.

The torque is actually more then the HP.
