That is why I decided to upgrade my suspension now and do the turbo next spring along with a bunch of other parts when the hype wears off. I always hear people say that dyno is super low but I made almost 330whp with the stock VIII turbo (+10.5...stock in '05) so it makes me wonder. I'd like to think my car is that much of a beast but am just skeptical I guess...

ETA on when it becomes available? Best case scenario? Worst case scenario? My car is at the shop rebuilding the motor. All thats left is the BBK-B turbo....patiently waiting.

look at my dyno thread on here. granted it was 97F when we dynoed, It took me 39psi to crack 522 on that dyno on a well built car.. Now I believe the FMIC is a bottleneck, but 460 on that dyno is no joke. Maybe it read diff when you were on it I dont know..... It is 100% untouched from mustang, so it should read like Buschurs. 460 on that dyno is 500whp+ on a dynojet, this is not even debatable. 440 on that dyno has trapped 131 in a full weight evo. ---------- how much boost for your 330whp results?

24psi tapering to 19. It was a cool 57 degree day too. That helps a lot. Would likely make a good bit less in July, which is when all of this testing is going on (obviously). If I could pick up another 90whp and 60wtq over the stock turbo that would be insane! lol! I plan to add the BBK-B, swap the BR Deluxe for their 3.5" Garret core, add a Perrin intake tube, ARPs and new head gasket, PTE 1000s, BR ported intake mani, and MilSpec TB. That along with 28psi or so and it could make those numbers I feel based on preliminary results for this turbo. Either way, it will rip!

I'm going to take some Hibernol. Someone please tape the superbowl for me and have the UPS man wake me up when my turbo arrives, I'll be in the tent at the end of the driveway.

Thanks!

you wouldnt make it to 300 in this weather i dont think. their fmic is a 3.8" Garrett core with their custom endtanks so there is no cutting required at all it is a direct fit for the evo & requires nothing additionally to work. if i knew this before i bought one that required a hacksaw i would have got the cbrd one thankfully Chad swapped me for a old crashbeam laying around for my unhacked beam so they saved me a ton of frustration! (Which looks like it was cut with a plasma cutter (done extremely well) He showed me his FMIC, it is very nice and welds look as good as they can get. Definitely a very nice FMIC and everything was super heavy duty on it.

I think anything over 350~ on that dyno will feel good on the road in a evo.

I dont think I would lose 30whp but surely 15-20. But who knows? I think 350+ would feel good but for the money I am about to drop on all of this I better hit 400 or will be highly disappointed. But I dont think that will be a problem. I have yet to see the CBRD fmic on a VIII. If it looks all hacked up when the end tanks are exposed I am not interested. Plus the 3.8" core (same as the BR Race) might be a bit overkill. I dont mind ditching the crash beam. If I rear end someone my dumb *** deserves what I get. The BR fmics fit with aftermarket undertrays like the Beatrush, which I plan to run as well. Either way, I am very excited to start collecting my parts here this winter.

Mine required a very minor trim of the undertray to keep that part on the car, but otherwise the FMIC does fit very snug. It's definitely as big as you can get without having to hack up the crash beam and/or other chassis components.
