so i take it this is for more "extreme" cars than a bbk full? I'm considering between the two for my IX but my cars just a street car - stock block, gsc s1s, won't go anything past 93octane and 25ish pounds of boost.. should i stick with the bbk full then? i don't know if i'm on the path to upgrading injectors but i do have a walbro..

Max out the BBk-Full! The BBK-Full is a landmark, pumpgas turbo.

I PM'd Chad the same question a few weeks ago, and he said the Full would be the way to go on that kind of set-up.

If you can hang tight I will have some results very soon on the BBKB which you can compare to my old results of the BBK Full. This will be on a VIII with S1's, stock block and 93 octane pump gas.

Awesome, that's exactly what I'm looking for, pretty much. I was convinced of the BBK full after your review of it but now I'm thinking about the BBKB haha, as long as the spool is pretty much the same.. Spool is probably the most important thing to me right now, as I'm already pretty close to the max amount of power I want to produce.. now I just want to hit the mark with the quickest spool possible.

For what it's worth, Chad told me that the "transient response" was better in the Full compared to the B.

In terms of.. between shifts and such? On/off throttle? But yea, as of now I am leaning towards the full if it'll hit my power goals and with a quicker spool.. Unless the bbkb is a significantly more amount of power for a very low loss of spool (which they've been saying is around 250rpm, which is not bad at all)

He didn't quantify how much better it was, just that when you get on the throttle you're going to see the Full respond and spool quicker than the B.

i'm kind of in the same boat. i wanted the Full but now i think i want the B just because it will give me room to grow. it will depend on spool and how it will feel on the street since she is my DD

ah gotcha.. if i can hit 410+whp with the bbkfull i think i'll be happy.. i've pretty much maxed out the stock turbo as of now.. maybe i'll get the bbkfull, bigger injectors, port intake exhaust tb.. new cop etc and see where that goes.. i was thinking about switching to s2s but i really like how the s1s are
