Wow, I do envy your guys summers out there but definitly not your winters. 65F difference in temp between a couple days is at the least "extreme" as you mentioned.

Numbers on a dyno dont prove anything without a track pass to back it up

Mikey already has track times at lower power level. A lot of people don't 1/4 mile their Evo anyway.

Luckly this is a DJ. DJ should be the standard here in the states.

I went ahead and changed that for you. MDs can all read different so it is important to see track times to help compare. All DJs read the same, from Miami to Alaska... They are identical so we don't have to track the car to know what it will do.

I have to disagree with you. Every car is going to be different. Weight, track temperatures/location, transmission/clutch choice, wheels, brake pads, tires, drag, and the list can go on.

I'm not taking anything away from your car or the numbers. As you are correct, Dynojet numbers are considered an industry standard by many people.

You built a street car and I think that would reflect in the track times. If you put this engine in a different car, it would really let your combination shine for what it is: awesome.

I'm saying the same as you are. Most cars at the track all run different because of setup and user fug-ups. I can give my car to my sister and she would run a 14, does that tell you my car is a pos and doesn't make 748whp? Nope, just means she can't drive... That is why I think DJ numbers are important for comparison also. I would like to have both but the tracks are not open, so everyone will have to wait. I would hope for my car to be mid 9s if I did everything perfect with 4.11 gears on full weight. I couldn't even get close to AWDs time becuase they were running a gutted track car.

Not trying to fight. I think both dynos and slips have their place and repesentation.

Btw im not trying to diss ur car in anyway but what im trying show is a number on a dyno honestly dont mean anything. Ur car could have made 1000whp on a DJ like MAPerformance and only run a 11 sec pass at the track.

Ill admit the numbers are sick but without the track time to back it up, ur car is just another dyno number

This is going to be the last post about dyno numbers/track times in my thread, until I take it to the track again.

First off I'm not going to talk about a vender's car... But I will say my car at 640whp on street tires (225s) full weight and not launching the car it did 10.4 @136. I have no doubt in my mind my car is a 9s car and will trap mid 140s.

I understand what you are saying, this is not my first day on the forums. The time will come when it is on the track, want to see it, come to the shootout...

Now back on topic.

You just nailed exactly what I was trying to say. lol

Again, the car is equally impressive as the numbers.

Can you tell us what a car that makes 750whp should run then? Like everyone says, take into account all things you DONT have control over. IE weather, track conditions, driver capability in some cases, ect. I guess i dont understand what point your trying to make anyway.

712 and 3000 lbs with driver ran a 9.8@144 on slicks
708 and 3450 lbs with driver and 245 street tires (goodyear eagle F1) ran a 10.6@142 with a good driver

FWIW

Location, wheels, and brake pads? Huh? What do you mean by location? Are you talking about elevation with respect to sea level, or, are you meaning Hollywood, vs. Beverly Hills? How does brake pad composition factor into drag times/speeds anyway? Finally, how do you factor wheels/rims into the discussion?

How about rear view mirrors and floormats?

The drag coefficient of different pad materials.

Location as in elevation, track prep, old or new surface, and even grading.

Wheels have a factor because of weight and what kind of tire the cars running. Also if it's a small wheel and slick its' probably going to have small rotors. Which in turn would make it less of a street car (what the op has) and more of a race car.

That comment wasn't contributing to this thread or discussion at all. Also a very poor attempt at trying to make someone look foolish to boost your ego.
