it was a HP record.. they pulled the signal off the wastegate and it ran uncontrolled boost to hit 748whp. its never gonna run like this on the street.. atleast not from what i gathered from mikey, but the thing is...

even before the turbo was modified he still made great numbers (680 @ 36psi) and it ran a great time (10.6 @ 136) with 225 wide garbage bald street tires..

He has a badass setup and theres nothing anyone can say or do to make it otherwise.. everything worked well together and the car always has made crazy numbers from day 1.

thats just how i look at it. If he can make 748whp with uncontrollable boost then he can definitely make over 700whp with controlled boost..

now the question is this.. how many other 700WHP fp blacks will you see cruising the streets? pretty much none.. just saying......

It's not like Mikey popped up a new screen name out of nowhere and claimed these numbers on an adjustable dyno with and unkown tuner. This is a mod with almost 3,000 posts documenting his build all along the way with one of the best tuners in the country.

Keep gunning for the top Mikey, I can't wait to see what this motor can make with a t3 based turbo.

We're watching your progress!!

I dont get how people cant understand that a dyno measures HORSEPOWER and a 1/4 mile does not. A 1/4 mile is dependent on a lot of other things like weight tires driver ability etc.

Here is an example for the slower people here:

My buddy has a 260whp 240sx that weighs 2650lbs. It ran a 12.39@113mph. He has slicks and skinnies and it is a rwd. My car VDR's approx 368whp and it weighs 3420 with me in it. I run stock size tires. I run a 12.4@112.7. Even though my car make a lot more HORSEPOWER it is SLOWER at the track. Very simple concept.

Therefore, if Mikeys car is not as fast as a tin can that runs slicks on all 4 corners it doesnt mean that his car doesnt make the power. That is the whole reason we have dynos, to measure HORSEPOWER. We have tracks to see how well a whole setup performs in a 1/4 mile. The only time hp increases can be compared by 1/4 mile times is if it is between the same car with same weights and same driver on a clean pass. If it traps higher it is making more power. If it goes slower it is making less lower. It is that simple.

Like I said. There was nothing crazy about this dyno pull but boost. the car was dynoed the same way I drive it

Permission to ask a question?

Sir, I'm just curious, but do you even know what backpressure actually is? If you do, would you mind explaining to me how "backpressure" has anything to do with blowing the o2sniffer out of your exhaust?

You do know that backpressure occurs before the turbo, don't you? The ONLY way to measure it is to weld a bung in a header tube, the hotside housing itself (not recommended), or right near the base of the collector (what I did) and insert a pressure gauge during a pull. At least that's how I've always measured it on my cars, but maybe I need to learn something new here.

In the photo below I measured it by inserting a pressure sensor during a dyno pull in that little bung welded near the collector. Now, I'm willing to learn if you've discovered a new way of measuring it at the exhaust tip.

Thanks man! A lot of people just don't understand and always try to hate and talk smack.

I am actually going to be doing some more testing with the Black and trying a few other things out over the spring and summer. I would like to keep it for the shootout but after that I will be going t3. I have not made up my mind if I want to go 3586 or 3794. The 3586 may not be a big enough jump for me, I'm leaning more towards the 3794... I just have to decide if I can live with all that lag. It is my DD.

I would like to make a TS 3794 but that of course would be custom.
