Dirty dog Dave. Are you going to put Leet's 7670 on your car and run it on kill mode?

Ok... So I didn't buy a Kia. Short story: My oil pump failed... causing mass destruction...

Long Story:

The day before the DJ appearance, I had RRE make sure everything was good to go and they through it on there Dynapak Dyno as to have an accurate Baseline to compare the DJ graphs to. Well. they noticed some white smoke coming from the motor, stopped tried to source it... did another pull and well.. they found the leak allright lol.

Not too Happy... as this motor had ehh..300ish miles or something... sent a PM asking David wtf lol. After having some discussion as to what the best course of action was, I and My buddy took my truck threw it on a trailer and drove from LA to Buschur Racing.. (I had JUST driven 9 hours the day before from utah down to LA to take the car to the DynoJet lol.. )

We end up leaving Thursday night and getting to Buschur first thing Saturday morning. David met us at the shop and I said lets get it fixed. Come to find out my there was SOOO much damage... that it was hard to tell what the cause of the problem was. It most likely was a combination of the oil pump failing and my push style Tilton clutch.

This was my first time actually meeting David.. Even though I've spent tens of thousands on his kick *** products over the years lol.. He's a great guy... Proud, trustworthy, hardworking american... you can see the quality of his work and how he stands by it. Integrity is something that is very important and i have no worries when it comes to Buschur Racing, Road Race or Robispec.

Anyway.. he's hooking me up with another motor that should be done soon. Good news is, the car will 100% same setup (motor wise) as David's after its setup (including cams).

We're hoping to get things done quickly... but the entire block was trashed... so. its basically a brand new motor.. Between David and Robi@robispec and RREI'm getting hooked up. It another reason to support Great companies such as Buschur, Robispec and Road Race

Anyway..thats my update... I'd be looking for results in the next few days/week.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure everything will work out in the end. Don't suppose we could entice DB to throw that 7670 on a 2.0 while they're working on your block and do a dyno pull or three.

Noooooo.... You have my favorite setup ever... I was really hoping to see you get this thing on the track. It really really sucks that the motor basically ate itself... but fantastic news that you are working with sponsors to get the car rebuilt. Best of luck man.

That would suck. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Seems like more power on a built motor is a bit of a crap shoot.

Looking forward to the car coming back better then ever. Curious to see DB's results for the BW EFR.
