Borgwarner Twin Scroll 7670 With Dyno Graph
Man I know the feeling... oil pump siezed on my car a year ago... ****ty luck, but you are in good hands!
Dave, I guess no plans for a dynojet run then, since we know yours reads 13% lower anyways correct?

I have no limits set by Ben on his car. I am going to tune it and while tuning, obviously collect data. I don't see running the car at 45 psi happening, I didn't run any of the other turbos at 45 psi and there is absolutely no reason to run this pure road race EVO at 45 psi.
If I sort out the ignition and everything seems to be going well I see no reason that I won't try a run at 39-40 psi for a pull just to see how it does.
This is a Time Attack car, it will probably end up in the 28-30 psi range for what he is trying to do. The power should be better, although may read lower on our dyno than the Dynapak did, with the new cam change (BF272 vs HKS280's) and the Race FMIC compared to the old Deluxe FMIC.
For the specs, this 7670 is in a Twin Scroll T4 housing. Uses two Tial wastegates and a Tial BOV, no speed sensor in the turbo. So pretty much a T4 twin scroll, small runner header, it SHOULD spool fast. I am more curious what is going to happen to the top end now with a good cam in it.

No, not moving the cams, absolutely not. Same cams and same settings that are in my car. I've moved those cams from one end to the other, best place for them is straight up. If the turbo is as good as it is suppose to be the top end should be excellent with the cams just how they are intended to be run. I mean look at that little HTA3076 on my car, no problem with low end or top end.
I appreciate the thanks but this car needs fixed and that's why it's here. I want to see Ben go out and bust some asses with this combination and really enjoy it. The testing for me is a HUGE bonus and you can count on the fact it's more for me than anyone else! haha Testing is my favorite thing to do!

No plans for Dynojet run. The best way to test this is on our dyno so it's a direct comparison to the hundreds of other tests I've run.
What if I fall in love with twin scroll? Well, I guess we will be building/selling twin scroll turbos. To date though I've been left disappointed on every single twin scroll turbo kit I have run.

Go drive it on the street and experience the transient response difference

When should I be looking for dyno charts from you Dave? I don't want to miss it
Meh, I've been in/tuned a couple GT42R cars with solid twinscroll setups and I've been impressed by all of them. The opposite can be said about a couple single scroll GT35R setups that were pretty laggy though.
Either way, it all depends on the setup. Can't wait to see this turbo on kill.

I can promise you no one is excited as myself. Dave has been a great resource and his shop has busted their **** to get this thing turned around in about a weeks time. Very excited to see the results, Very excited to race the car... Very excited for it to be complete.
The ONLY downside... is that freaking 36+ hour drive to California for the events. Ugh...

Damn Leet! Sorry to hear about that bro!
I ordered your same turbo and I have been following this thread for a while now... I'm Anxious to see the results that Dave will post...
Dave,
Is there anything that can be done to the OEM oil pump to make it "unbreakable" or to perform better?
Thanks!
