Yes I need to lose some weight. 2 people in the car during the tuning. Not sure if Tom has adjusted the vehicle weight based on weight reduction mods.

I believe there is a setting in the VDR which allows you to illustrate mustang dyno numbers, but am not sure if it is as accurate as the dynojet numbers.

not going to happen .. i will keep torque around 380-400 and make the hp very high. have dozens upon dozens of cars over 500 on stock block with low torque running fine. the torque is what causes the damage.. so just keep the torque in check and the engine will last quite a bit. now right now he has lots of torque cause thats what he asked for.. but if we tuned the fp black setup like that it would definitely not last long i agree with you.

Exedy triple
BR double pumper
FIC 2150 injectors

At the very least we will get the tranny, clutch, double pumper and injectors. The Black, mani and dump will be purchased no later then summer 2012. My wife and I are more than ready to take our Evo to the next level and see what we can achieve on the stock block. Can't wait to have Tom work his magic!
nice choice of mods right there.

remove 8% from the actual number and you have mustang pretty much. why dont you run a log through it and compare it on your vehicle? if you have a programmer and laptop and evoscan you can do it. also mitsulogger will work.

Only 2 people at any one give time. The higher weight (420 vs 330 or whatever) was with Alain vice my wife.

The engine may not last...I want to maintain ~425tq and go up to ~550hp. She's a stallion Tom, remember? Lol

Two more mods will be accomplished in January:

BR ported intake manifold
BR 65mm throttle body

I did a boost leak test prior to Tom starting the tuning effort and found one leak--throttle body. I believe it is the shaft seals but am not 100% sure. So, the tuning was done with a fairly significant boost leak.

ya i remember you telling me the tb had a leak in it. the question is when you go say 20psi and stop pressurizing, how long does it take to get to 0? how significant is the leak? because if its bad without any pressure hardly its 10x worse under real boosting.

either way i dont think it effected overall power to much because we just made up for it with more WGDC.. at the same time that can make the air hotter by overspinning the turbo to get the same boost as if there were no leaks it would not be spinning as hard for the same boost.. so its hard to say. especially with e85.

I couldnt build and maintain 20psi. At 5psi it was leaking.

seriously? so it only held 5psi during a test and it held it for how long? a split second? in that case you're lucky the turbo didnt blow.. i thought it was fishy i had to run around 80% wgdc even with the 25psi WGA MAX preloaded. once its fixed dont boost the car it will be way to high of boost.

Honestly I am not sure and it was the first time I've done a boost leak test. I started the compressor at 10psi and there was no pressure at the turbo inlet. I could hear air leaking from the TB. I turned the compressor up to 20psi and it built some pressure at the turbo inlet but I don't remember how much.

so theres more in the car then.. because we were spinning the turbo excessively to build a certain boost level to make up for a huge air leak.

o well. still made sick power

similar to if you had a water hose and it had a huge leak in it.. you would turn the water pressure up higher to make up for that leak. it just overworks everything and the setup becomes less efficient.

next time we will make sure everythings 100%.

Is pushing this much boost putting the turbo out of its efficiency range? I am really hoping that I get shot down with this as I have my turbo selections narrowed down to two. Basically I am torn between making 450whp on the stock IX turbo or 500whp on the EF3 turbo.

Unless I am missing something in the threads you have, I only saw a low-300 dyno chart. Please send me what you are talking about via PM as I do not like cluttering threads with off topic discussions.
