I was tuned at 25psi a little bit ago and made like 320ish whp, I recently went down to 20psi because I have been racing more and wanted a little less strain on the car. With more work on the afr and timing I only lost like 20whp, pretty happy about that :P.
Mods:
UICP/LICP
Intake
Catless TBE +O2 housing
Evo 9 Turbo
ECU Boost Control
Walbro 255
Tuned by me @ 20psi
I was able to get more peak torque when I ran more timing, but I was not gaining any whp above 4000rpm so I figured it was unnecessary strain on the engine since I don't need or want power below 4000rpm anyways . I'm considering lowering the boost to like 10psi below 4000rpm actually to help with reliability and economy since I daily this car sometimes too.

do you really think 320whp (and i'm assuming about the same tq) is a strain on these engines? 25psi on our stock turbos isn't really all that much, imo. i peak at 24 and taper to... i forget, for about 310whp.. i never really thought that i'm doing anything to strain any of our OEM parts. granted, i only do about 2-3 track days per year. my car has 120k miles and still going strong! *knock on wood* of course LOL

More boost and power is always more strain, I'm not saying it's a lot, but getting only 20whp doesnt seem worth going from 20 to 25psi while 15 to 20psi nets like 40whp. it just seems like you get less bang for your boost the higher you go on 91. Plus, I am at 182,000 miles and wot more often than I should lol.
WOT? what's that? ....
